Y'all are probably panicking about Leniu. Yes, his minutes were down, But he only ran for 42m against Manly in an absolutely lop-sided contest with no real need to grind through the middle. Every other game he's gone +100m. That extra 6 points makes the 27 into a 33 - not much, but with those extra meters come the opportunities for TBs and offloads.
He just hasn't lucked into the tries that big Stefano has been gifted the last two weeks.

He's playing a Tevaga-hybrid-bench-scoring type role, plus you get to roll this out and own it.
In all seriousness, Brad Arthur seems to love what he's doing and it looks like he'll continue to get 50+ minutes each week whether starting or on the bench.
I don't think he's a must-have, and he's probably priced near what he'll average, but he might well be the best bench output player going around (if that rocks your boat), and seems first in-line to fill in a Middle/Edge roll if/when injury strikes.

Im interested to see how BSmith scores with Grant back. Will be good seeing him run the ball a bit more

He hasn't lucked into tries, but he probably won't either;
Total minutes that Penrith's middle last year played (Tamou, Fisher-Harris, Tetevano, Yeo, Leota, Leniu): 5364
That's equavalent to 67 eighty-minute outings, or 134 forty-minute outings (about the highest range you'd expect from Leniu at this point)
In all those matches, and across all those minutes, the middle scored 2 tries. One to Tamou, One to Yeo.
So equivalently 1 try every 67 forty minute outings, or 1 every 3 years roughly (if you think Leniu is as likely as Tamou/Yeo, rather than a Tetevano/Leota/JFH).
It's just not an area that Penrith need to score tries in.
TLDR: Leniu is 100% going to score a try this week (you heard it here first)

I brought in Leniu after his 38 mins R1 and am a little sad he's made as much cash as Croker (who I traded for Leniu) but still holding. I mean if there's not a must have cow around then why bother trading him. Him and Simonsson can wait. If I could go Leniu to Moses in 1 trade I'd do that though for sure.

Anyone thinking about grabbing Jackson Topine? Got two failed cows in Averillo and Simonsson - any chance he gets at least 30 mins at hooker and maybe some minutes on an edge?
Any chance he grabs the spot over Corey Waddell?

Brought him in last week mate. Hesitant to give my opinion on trades at the best of times but depending on the balance of your team I still think he makes 150k from here if you're weighing it up!

I think I might do Leniu to SOS as well. I am sure Leniu will continue to make money but it just seems like SOS will do it a lot quicker. It is a tough one really.

True, tries are not base stats for low-minute bench forwards. But I wasn't suggesting that he'll score a try either.
I guess the point I was trying to make was that you had two comparable MID cows in Stefano and Leniu, and one of them has nabbed two tries in two weeks so its all gravy and noone is looking to trade him, but without that, they're in very similar boats (albeit Stefano is getting 34mins and a few more tackles vs 30mins). Just to look at base points and there's no imperative to trade Leniu unless its for an upgrade.
In all honesty, I hope you're right. But you can guarantee if he does that he'll be yo-yoing through everyone's NPRs and bench each week.

I do agree with you.
I suspect that Stefano may score the odd try here and there this year (the Tigers are less structured and far less lethal in attack - so more chance for that sort of opportunity try) - which is great for accelerating price rises.
Leniu will continue to make money, but is more likely to be a slow burn, especially if he struggles to get more than 30 minutes a game.
He's certainly not a need-to-trade, and I think you'd have to have some strongly mitigating reasons to do it early.

As soon as Harris has an injury Tevaga is going to be a steal.
