Isaako to Tino. Have too many WFBs and played Lodge and Leniu in 13 last week. Alvaro in emergencies of course. Any objections?

I could get Cleary in this week, but also resisting the urge.

Cotric is no longer in his hybrid role and about to lose cash, so will be upgrading him to either iPap or Peachey. Thinking iPap is now or never, so might as well be now. afro

Looking forward to Lucy vs Cowboys this week. Has a low of 50 this season and ready to break out in this game.

I missed the Roosters and Warriors game last week, how did Walker look? Definite trade in for Averillo?

100% do it mate...walker looked really good & Averillo hasn't looked that good and he had 3 rounds to play his way into form but it hasn't happened.

I didn't think he was as great as people, especially the commentators the entire game, made out. I don't think Sharks will roll over and have their tummy tickled like Warriors did. He'll make money obviously but I'm likely getting SOS this week and Walker next

You are right. They weren't forced as the other 2. Though in lodge's case I would've traded him anyway to bring in a solid sorcerer to my 17.

I wasn't actually trying to highlight the injuries to my team. More so how I traded them out to bring in the players I wanted. I brought in Davies (who I was confident in averaging 50+), Egan, Schuster and Walker. Even if I had no injuries, I probably would've bought those guys in. So, with injuries seemingly more frequent this season, I was just wondering if we can use it to our advantage and maybe save trades compared to others.

Idk, I'm probably looking to be reassured to save trades anyway.

Yeah. While I agree with you on Avo, Walker looked good and much more fantasy upside than Avo mate.

That’s a nice 14-21. All playable too. Tough choice! I prefer having my set shit 18-21 so I don’t pick the wrong ones to leave out.

All my trades so far have been forced due to injuries (Lodge, Davey, Lam, Averillo).

This has resulted in me being very reactionary with my trades. I was still regretting and recovering from the shock after I traded Lodge to Davey, and waited 1 week too long on Lam to Schuster trade and copped huge demerits on points/price rises.

My 1 - 17 is solid but my emergencies aren't making any significant cash. I saw MTB's comment on Croker to SOS being a no brainer and now I'm pondering this trade as well, though I'm still leaning towards no trades this round.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, does anyone think saving trades and being reactionary when injuries strike could be a good ploy this season? (Especially given there's nothing to fix other than maybe cash generation). There's already been a load of injuries this season and somehow I managed to avoid the carnage last round. I might not be so lucky coming rounds. I read an article this morning from Ben Hunt and he says the game has become too fast and assumes is the main reason for all these injuries.

I wouldn't worry too much about injuries. They are basically out of your control and you can't really plan for them, other than to avoid the most injury prone players, and by not making poor trades so that you run out later in the season. You mention "especially given there's nothing to fix other than maybe cash generation" - This is a concern. There aren't many things that are more important than cash generation early in the season. You can carry really only one or two spuds at most. You really want every player either scoring points or making money. Money is what allows you to bring the guns in. My team, I'm really only carrying Croker, and at least he's averaging higher than what his BE is, and there isn't anyone to trade him to to make money, given I've already got Walker, SOS, Shuster etc.

In summary burn those trades to get a team scoring points and or making money, and then try and conserve some trades.

Averillo is a very good player & I think he played a lot of his junior league in the halves so the position wasn't foreign to him. He was just not getting much ball where it mattered for fantasy purposes so he had to live off the scraps & the Bulldogs don't have very tasty scraps. Maybe he's better at ctr with more space to exploit his pace so they should drop Hoppa who looks past it to make it happen.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Croker to SOS this week confirmed.

Then I'm going to see how Blake Green goes this week and if he looks like a 50+ scorer (which I expect hin to be) I'll bring him in for Fuimaono as a round 13 option.

That'll leave only Siomonsen as a dud but hopefully he goes bang bang at some point.
