Regarding all the Walker talk too, I liked his debut. I'd played him over Milford (moot point in the end with Matterson's withdrawal) and the only reason I played him over Milford was because I was led to believe he would be the chief kicker. Was disappointed to see this not happen on the night, but as others have suggested, I'll hope that was just allowing him to ease into the role.

I think the thing that appealed most to me overall was his confidence in the role. He looked comfortable and willing to play his brand of football without fear of messing up. Basically the complete opposite of how Averillo has looked in the halves... as much as I have championed the kid. But in Averillo's defence, Walker has a lot more reason for confidence considering the team around him.

As others have mentioned, I thought he showed really good signs as a centre last year. I would play him at centre over Corey Allan or Hopoate any day of any week, personally, but I am not a coach. Put Allan or Hopoate on the wing in Katoa's place and things are already looking up.

    In, my opinion... of course.
Next season I would expect the team to line up something like:
    Burton Flanno
    Cotric Hoppa
    JAC DWZ Katoa

Neither Allan nor Avo have impressed this season.

Full disclosure - I haven't actually noticed this Katoa guy so far this season, and I've "watched" every single game so far. Is he a better option on the wing than Averillo or Allan, should they go down that path?

Tui Katoa best mates with Jason Saab based on both doing bugger all

Dogs have Okunbur as option when he returns from ACL. Pretty sure Hoppa is off contract though, so probably better off keeping Averillo who is young and signed for a while

I remember Hopoates debut season for the Eagles, from memory, and the excitement and promise he showed. Absolute passenger since he came back from heeding the truth. In my opinion.

Not sure he would have touched the ball in attack yet, while both Avo and Allan have done nothing with the opportunities that they have had.

Don't worry about the 300 RM a game big fella, as long as you have the gas to get square at marker for the next set, you'll be right.

Premierships are won on defense, and Lolo is a lazy defender. I think media blew it up more than anything

But Cows issues aren't Payten's stance on Lolo - he's not even playing atm

Hybrid planet. Flat in attack, round in defense.

Has some good stats from its early days in the proterozoic era

With the will I/won't I with Walker.

He's a nearly basement priced player who is guaranteed a starting spot in one of the most prolific attacking teams in modern NRL. Adding to that there's massive wraps on him to be a future star

Cowboys ain't winning no premiership, lazy defender or not he is the heartbeat of that Boys side and he's lazy at times in defence because he's so busy absolutely carrying that poor Boys' pack.

He got caught to me trying to come in and give the big one, calling him out publicly was wrong, where's the calls for Hess to actually do something, anything? Morgan, Drinkwater? Saying he's dropping his minutes to move inline with his minutes when NQ had their premiership run was hilarious to me! Like that was the reason, don't worry about having when of the greatest of all time running your side around back then Rolling Laugh

Can people please convince me it is stupid to trade out TKO for LAM. Both have same PPM, and possibly similar roles for the next 8 weeks. LAM's BE is 21 compared to TKO's 52. Downgrading gives me $170K to put towards my For-The-Love-Of-Christ-How-Am-I-Going-To-Get-Cleary-Into-This-Fucking-Team fund and I possibly don't lose out on any points per week... maybe a few max.

But is it a waste of a trade? Would be interested to hear thoughts.

Otherwise I was going to do 0 trades this week, which I'm content with.

LAM is a good suggestion- both for your team and the community team. We all had him lined up for our starting teams had he been named in the Warriors starting lineup in round 1.

i guess the possibility is he still gets the same minutes in two stints - a bit like JTB’s minutes?

i’ve got SST and i won’t be trading out yet. But i also already have Cleary so understand your need to generate cash to bring him in.

I am considering 3 moves this week.

    Croker to SOS for cash

Croker to LAM to get Fui/Alvaro out of my 17 and a better MID scorer

Hold trade because I haven't banked one yet.

Both trade options are an improvement on my current squad, but are they big enough improvements to keep burning trades on.

With 40 minutes LAM should be good. He's not an out-and-out gun but very playable and should make cash
