Interesting. Could go either way. Even if Matto is back, I can see him only playing 60, Papa coming in the middle at 20 minutes then finishing the game on the edge maybe. I don't know, I'm still trading him in. Sounds like Matto was pretty fucked so another hit for him would be devastating.

Reckon behind the scenes Parra would be relieved to have Matto off their books. Good footballer still.

Apparently the Perenara to Roosters thing is going to happen, but he has to finish his Japanese Rugby contract first, then quarantine, so available mid-June at the earliest (so won't impact Verrills's moneymaking)

Not that I like to discriminate but where I used to work, it was known as Houso beer.

Did Niu get injured I don’t think I can see him named in qcup and he isn’t in the broncos squad

I feel like some of the refs think this as well
Might be how they're managed/coached. When was the last time we had a ref with the balls to really enforce the rules? The occasional 9-2 count and threats of cement trucks.

He and Paix both not named anywhere this week. Both finished the game for Souths last week so I'm not sure what's happened there. Maybe just a couple of knocks and its not worth mentioning.
Re: Milford, Kevy says in yesterday press conference Milford won't get back in the Broncos side if he continues to play the way he did for Souths last week. Kinda refreshing to just hear a coach say, 'yeah he was not up to standard'

The Roosters spent years as the most penalised team in the comp, because we gave away a bunch holding down inside the red zone to not give away tries. That doesn't mean we deserved piggy backs late in the game to even up the count. Sometimes (like last night) one team physically dominates the other which means they get all the leeway in the ruck

Depends what you mean by "behind". Would be sharing with. Might well be better than.
Don't doubt he has plenty to learn, but at least he grew up with League and knows the rules and techniques. And as athletes and with the way they play nowadays anyone good enough to be a regular in the All Black back line could walk into a start for an NRL club. Doesn't mean they'll be as good at league as they are at rugby, but they'll still be good.

Same in football. Fans getting up in arms when they are on the wrong side of the 10-2 free kick count.
Maybe if your team stayed on their feet more often we wouldn’t be here haha

Haha, that you did, mate. I'll try to look back on where I was then but I think the trade involved more than just Matterson so I hope I didn't make an entirely wrong call. It took me a few weeks to build an adequate bank, and combined with the Eels fucking around with misinformation, I'll hope it wasn't all completely down to me be extra shit at Fantasy.

I think TJ is going to be a high level hooker in the NRL. It might not happen straight away but he has the tools.
Obviously, being an All Black halfback, his passing is on the mark every time. His quality of service will depend on his ability to make the right decisions and summing up numbers quickly. Should come with time.
He is an awesome ball runner. I wont compare him to Cook but he has speed, quickness, is elusive and is very strong for his size. As a running hooker, other than Cook there wont be many better than him imo.
Defensively I think he will be sound. Like I said, hes tough. It will come down to conditioning and getting used to making 10 times more tackles.
Professionalism- unbiasedly, All Black athletes are just different. The culture, the attitude, the work ethic. He'll bring the same professionalism that SBW did, without the aura.
I don't know how long-term of an option he sees NRL to be, but if he gives it time, he's going to be awesome. Japanese rugby obviously would pay him a lot more, so could be an in and out situation.
How do others that know his game see it?

This is moving way to quick for me lately...
I understand Panthers are winning games and I understand teams don't care about fantasy... but really... 17 minutes, for a beast of a young talent and minutes have decreased every week since round 1? Surely Leniu has the tank to be out there a lot longer.
Clear choice this week that Leniu is a hard sell!!

I imagine he’d be pretty frustrated, stunting his development, blokes a beast

Seems like the epitome of don’t rush a youngster. And don’t fix what isn’t broken.
Owners really can’t hold after that though can they.

Yeah, I mean he got 25 points so for an EMG that's not horrid but definitely a concern and very frustrating. He's playing his minutes at the end of the first half then the start of the second so it's not like fatigue would be the issue.
Nothing wrong with holding til 13 though I guess. Panthers have been lucky too that apart from round 1, I don't think they've had any injury or HIA concerns.
