Think I'm set on getting Verrills over Walsh. More of a long term decision first up. Will just cop Simo's 26. Walsh can come in next week if need be, but I'm gambling on Papy being good to go so won't even need Walsh in my 17, if so.

I think Verrills averages 10 pts more than Walsh so rather just make that move now and hope to save a trade or two next week.

If I keep Pappy, I think Verrills is the play too. Should be solid and a decent scorer in the long term.

Lads do we reckon once Grant starts he's pretty much set for 80 each week? Really want him if he's playing big minutes and could be tempted to switch my macca trade in for grant if he is named to start tonight. Thoughts?

    I agree

The main reason to go Walsh instead would be if you need WFB coverage.

I have gone Turpin to Hampton instead.
Hampton at WFB this week, then next week CTR to cover Momirovski.

Now have to work out if I want Haas or Moses this week (quite possibly get the other next week)

Jumping Marlin wrote:Been tossing up Fog Vs Moses all week. Sometimes writing stuff down helps....

The $100k price difference worth around 8-9 points.   Will Moses outscore Fog by 8-9 points for the rest of the year?

    Fog Vs Moses

    2020 average: 49.6 Vs 56.3 [6.9 diff]
    2021 average: 46.9 Vs 54.3 [7.4 diff]
2021 average if scaled to 80mins:  50.4 Vs 60.1 [9.7 diff]  Pick Moses!

    BUT

Fog has GK plus extra in play kicking this year. Worth around 7 points on his 2020 average
Moses has lost some KM to Brown.  Worth around loss of 4 points on his 2020 average.

In other words, if adjust 2020 for this years kicking, then FoG 2020 better than Moses 2020!  Pick Fog!

    YET

Here we are with Moses now averaging almost 10 points more this year than FoG (assuming 80 minute games).

So, what Else is Going On?

Both FoG and Moses are down about 4-5 tackles per week. Strange.
FoG is down in all attacking stats. T, TS, TA, LB, LBA, MG.  [Not expected with better forward pack]
Moses is up by almost 2 tackle busts per game (ie 6 fantasy points)

    So, I'm now left wondering

Which of these apparent changes is sustainable?  Moses higher TBs or Fogs lower attacking stats?

    One Last Thing

In Moses favour is more likely season keeper.
In Fog's favour is the $100k cash will help with picking up a fallen gun (Koro, Grant etc).

TLDR: Fog Vs Moses.  I still don't know.

I haven't read ahead to see if anyone is doing what I'm doing, but....

It's a conundrum isn't it?  I'm still thinking Haas goes big tonight but as ST said, Moses against the Dogs.

Going Moses means I only need to use the one trade though. Hmmm...

Yeah as I said in my original post, my plan involves getting Verills instead of Walsh, probably next week. I need to stop trading at some stage though..... have saved 3, so I suppose it's not too bad.

I'm leaning towards going for it! If Pappy's back next week and ends up playing round 13 it could end my season early, but it could be a master stroke if Haas goes large tonight!
