Nrl Fantasy 2021 Part 45 - Back for more backs

Don't mind Hampton to Crichton as a sole trade for my squad. DPP gives me the cover I need.. which isn't Simo or Roberts.

If you have 17 in Rd 13, does that mean the best you can hope for is 13 in Rd 17?
not likely, there's only a max of 10 trades available between bye rounds. rd14(2), rd15(2), rd16(2), rd17(4)
Assuming most have 3 or 4 origin players/keepers in the EMG for round 13, the best you can hope for is 10 or 11 in rd 17 when max trading.
The selection of guns in round 17 is pretty slim, and I don't think many coaches will opt to rip their team apart to get a bunch of rd17 subpar players

Plenty of good options. How many are you targeting for the second bye? 8-12?
Yeah 8 to 11 (max)

As long as you have the big guns you will put ground on the pack.
Holding Watson and Brailey makes sense because they are scoring well and slowly making a bit of cash
Outside of that you want the potential captaincy options. Haas (if he plays), McCullough, Moses, Matterson, IPap (if you think scoring is sustainable), Mahoney (if you think scoring is sustainable), Koroisau, Leilua
Throw in a couple of the cows like Simpkin, Laurie etc and you are looking good

Although there’s an argument that a new run-first 5/8 needs a big talker/organiser to partner over the wiles of the Milf
a Staggs/Milf combo has disaster written all over it and our backline right now has a center spot with his name on it, more likely and better for the long term that he does what he knows this year, especially coming back from an ACL injury, then gets a fresh start with a full pre-season next year to make the move properly with a half that compliments him.

Only if people aren't playing those guys in starting 17, most will be on the non scoring interchange and just being kept for 13

Dragons injury update says Lomax out for 6 weeks.
Might return around R15 or 16 so drop more then a pick up for the run home

I dont know why a 7 + staggs at 6 is better than a 7 + cheap milford at 6 + staggs dominating at ctr.
I know which i prefer. If we sign a top tier half then theres no reason why milford on 350k isnt a winner. But i expext he will go and flourish at another club.. and still may be what he needs

Round 15 is a 4 trade round aswell isn’t it. So you’d get 12 trades between those roundsChewie wrote:

Probably enough fire power there to turn papy into Haas.
Trading Papy out is an interesting one. I didn't realise his price was so high!

Ideally I’d like to keep Tups and save a trade there. Hoping he sticks around to 17

Reckon I’ll just make one trade this week. Alvaro to Curran. Leaves me with a fair bit of coin in bank.
If for what ever reason Sualli gets called up, I’ll drop Roberts or uto for him, to generate more money. Will leave about 600k ITB to make two solid trades next week.

not a body language expert by any means, but what I've seen from Milf lately suggests to me he needs a change of scenery, and honestly with the focus on halves lately, I don't know that we would get away with that much of a discount anyway, if Townsend is getting 2 mil over 3 years, I reckon whoever gets him pays no less than 500k.

Yeah, sure, but my team in general with eg Paps, Angus, Ted in it might score better than those who've targeted Rnd 13 exclusively.
Fwiw planning on bringing in something like Matterson, Api. and whoever I can afford between as a third trade in the round before Origin, ditching Angus, Simo (finally) and one other tbc, leaving me with
Brailey
TPJ, Watson, (Haas)
Matterson
Moses
Peachey, Cini
Laurie, Crichton
Koroisau, Kamikamica, Simpkin, AN Other (Edwards? Brimson?)

Shady2K wrote:So I'm pretty set on one trade of Hampton to Fogarty. Injured player to underpriced 55-60 average Round 13 player. Team then becomes:
Brailey
Harris Watson Crichton
Fifita Schuster
Cleary Munster
Peachey Bird
Tedesco Laurie Walsh
Fogarty Egan Walker Simpkin
Alvaro Utoiakamanu Papenhuyzen Momirovski
What I need an opinion on is the second trade and what suits my team best
1) Hold it. You'll get Papi and Momo back next week (hopefully)
2) Trade Papi for TPJ (moving Schuster to the bench and nudging Simpkin to EMG)
3) Trade Papi for Gutho (moving Walsh to the bench and nudging Simpkin to EMG)
4) Trade Alvaro for Starling (the big play)
Trading in TPJ or Gutho is really eyeing off R13 and making use of Papi's money
Any opinions appreciated
Any opinion on what’s best for my team?
