What's the exit strategy if it turns out Starling doesn't get the minutes we expect? Hold for a week (or longer) to see if he does get the minutes or cut and run?

It's a good plan. I would say 98k is most likely enough for Koro, I wouldn't say "plenty".
The case is strong with Starling's projected scoring indeed, no one is doubting he's a fantasy gun if starting and playing big minutes. It's just the risk whether that is the case or not.
You're absolutely right. It's a big balls play. What's to say Ricky doesn't slide Hodgson to hooker in the last 20 if they're down and need that extra dimension of attack in the opponent's red zone. Have nearly talked myself back out of it but it's not like i'm trading out someone useful. Roberts is absolute puss and I can still get in Koro next round. How good is the flip flop

If Starling knows going into the game that he likely gets 60 minutes and is told to go hard for that period, I could see him getting 50 points anyway.ytsb wrote:

Gee didn't realise Flegler went and gave himself a nice low break even with last week's score, cheap too. Still, what I really want is big gun scores in the 17.

I think you mean Roberts is pus, but puss is pretty appropriate too.

I don't think anyone in the Canberra pack knows what they're going to get going into the game at the moment, except Whitehead.

What do we see NSW pack and bench being??
8. Haas
9. Cook
10. Paulo
11. Crichton
12. Frizell
13. Jurbo
14. Pappy
15. Finucane
16. Yeo
17. Murray
18. Brown
19. Saifiti
20. Matterson
Looking at that I think it is safe to say Matterson is unluckily not cracking that side

It's interesting, fuck all players have Starling at the moment and he doesn't feature on the who's hot list. Gamble, Flegler, Blore, Curran all feature, none of whom are centres.
Starling isn't just another fanatics echo chamber created hype train is he?

Only real risk with Starling is job security/role
ATM he's very much like Robson for me, quality fantasy scorer in big minutes but not the greatest in game real life but still learning

This is a dark day absolutely shattering I have shed a few tears.robelgordo wrote:

No way I thought he’d leave Sydney. Exactly the kind of player Broncos need. Big for Milf I reckon.
The club only has themselves to blame if it backfires! I’m fuming.
We are losing our proven premiership winning halfback and game manager and he won’t be easily replaced. He’s worth every cent of 800k a season and I’m glad he’s looking after his wife and 4 kids.

Love it. Sometimes we catch things that others miss. Having said that I am happy if I am the only one taking the risk on him. After this weekend we will have a better idea of his roleytsb wrote:

Possibly. It doesn't come without risk and probably risk most won't be willing to take.
Our Pap trade punt worked out okay, why not this too?

Playing yeo and finucane as the bench front row? Last year proved that was a bad idea. Need some go forward. J turbo is a good player but I actually think origin has passed him by with the speed of the game. Prefer yeo starting and Murray off the bench if he’s back. Finucane and radley fighting each other for a spot. RCG and saifiti for another
Queensland team is worse on paper but has players better suited to origin seemingly. A bit of fire in the belly
