Historical 20-25 guy joining one of the better attacking teams in the comp

Started at 300k and scored 8 points in round 1 which caused most to jump ship

Since then he has averaged 40 points and made over 200k with only 1 score under 20. "Only" 6 tries in that time as well

Hoping for 1 more decent score before round 13 so he can hold current price

Yeah - I'm hoping to keep all 5 origin players. As it stands on current prices I need to find ~$400k to be able to bring in my targeted players. That my reduce if Pappy and/or Fifita drop in value before I bring them in, or if Schuster/Laurie/Riki collectively gain value. After 2 trades this week I have 20 remaining - so I'm looking at a number of short-term trades for the buy rounds where (hopefully) I can pick up a decent score from a player with an increased role, and a bit of a cash bump. Ideally I'd be looking to max trade round 17 where 3 are cheap cash-outs named to play and 1 is Tohu.

Yeah I have roughly the same plan. Load up on rd13 players, any of those rested, dropped, injured, suspended get dumped as they miss that week and rd17 and then max trade rd 17 hopefully for a gun or two and a couple of cheaper players to build bank for Pappy and Fifita. Still working on it, so don't quite know exactly how short I'll be $ wise yet (need MTB to fix the bugs in the planner Very Happy ) but it's why I'm now considering Welch to someone cheaper like Starling/CHN rather than Koro/Macca/Mahoney/Leilua who I'll probably target in a couple of weeks.

My team is pretty stuffed - anyone want to nominate a completely left field selection for me?

Preferably R13 and cheap, bonus if they play WFB or EDG (mega bonus if they are DPP both those)

Have decided to forego Reece Walsh - I can see he's probably going to be the player that I'm constantly death-riding the rest of the season though.

Yeah, I don't fear Cordner posing any potential problems for Angus. Surprised if he returns also.

Any thoughts on the following options?

    a) Stefano to Koro (potential trade 2: Schuster to Starling, but seems a bit sideways)

    b) Simpkin to Starling + 100k (potential trade 2: Leniu to Hynes)

    c) Pap + Stefano to To'o + Mahoney - go hard at R13

TU/TD thread is pretty unanimous on Simpkin to Starling, which makes sense given BEs, but gut still says Stefano to Koro is the play. Am I too blinded by R13?

Go with the gut mate. Stefan to Koro is solid.

I don't see Koro as a great trade in. No score over 50 yet. If you don't already have him I'd be more inclined to get McCullough as a discount R13 gun.

Completely left field?? Anthony Don. Good job security, plays rd13, 228k. Has plenty of single digit scores but will often then go on a tear and make 150k.

Charlie Staines - could put on a big score, cheap@330, R13, good team, JS
Liam Martin - good player, low BE, 506k, R13, good team
Wade Graham - cheap@430, low BE, good player, R17, JS
Shuan Blore - cheap, some wraps, cheap@238, R13, may get more of a role
Josh Kerr - spud, cheap@433, DPPmid/edg, R13, drogns so temp JS
Cody Ramsey - cheap@284, playing R13, drag-ons so temp JS maybe?

Staines could go on a run? Cheap R13 WFB. May as well with CTR/EDG dual.

For EDG, Fitzgibbon is as left field as they come at 0.11% ownership. Avg nearly 47 last year in big-minute games in the second row.

Not R13, but Pompey another left-field one with DPP. Quietly averaging 39 with just one score below 30. Spot's pretty secure with Hiku gone for the season.

Or DEdwards, just 1% ownership and R13.

Edit: to be clear, that's (Tyrone) May, as well. Not may as well get Staines' CTR/EDG dual. Razz

10k short of Stefano to Macca, agonisingly.

As a To'o owner I've been watching and Panthers have been hitting Staines side a lot more the last two weeks. Not a bad option.

If Cordner does come back then you'd think he or Grand Angus will come off the bench, the later could have a big workload in origin. Toops prob starts in RD14, RD15 is the interesting one.

I think it is probably a gut call. Koro plays the more immediate bye, has stronger pedigree, better job security. Starling is cheaper with similar scoring potential.

I'm wrestling with a similar decision. Although mine is Starling vs no Starling. Koro comes in regardless for me at some stage.
