1,010 for the round - dropped slightly back to 5,167th.  18 trades left, $10k in the bank.



Kelly trade in was solid, so here's hoping we don't need to talk about centres this week.  Walker a possibility for the trade block, and what do we do about Papy?

Papy to Hynes for cash gen and points, with a view to getting him back in a few weeks when they could well be around the same price. Use the bank to fund moves next week when we've seen the Origin teams, or for post-13 Alvaro/Laurie upgrades.

Papenhuyzen out for me. I was defaulting to a gun forward, but Hynes might be decent and leaves a bank of $242k.

Other trade candidates Walker, Alvaro and Simpkin.

Walker - $515k and doesn't play Rd 13, but pretty secure playing 80 in a normally good team. Could upgrade up to 757k. Mahoney, TPJ, JFH among others for sub 700k. Would be good to know who's playing origin though.

Alvaro - $419k, probably plays Rd 13. Lucky break from 18th man last week. Promoted to bench this week. Could upgrade up to $661k. Brooks, Yeo, Luciano, Hunt, BSmith etc..

Simpkin - $370k, not sure about Rd 13. Could upgrade to $612k.. A lot of 45-50 average guys and I don't see much upside. Norman, Twal, Tolman etc.

I'm thinking maybe hold the 2nd trade and grab one of the guns that misses origin next week. Mahoney, TPJ, Hunt or something. Otherwise Alvaro to Luciano would probably be my vote for a 2nd.

Paps ---> Hynes

2nd trade? Wait a week? Walker (and potentially Simpkin) likely to lose money but I think better to play conservative.

If we're going with two trades then Chris Lewis is another name I'd throw in the hat.

Makes the case for trading out Papy stronger I would say…

Luke Thompson has been solid.

Been tossing that same option up for my own team.

Wasn't going to say it because I know folk strongly dislike these kind of suggestions and they're probably also the reason I just snuck inside the top 10,000 this year, but I'd just dump Simpkin (shame you're a few dollars short of Cini) for A.Kelly and hold the other dudes and trades. There, said it.

Sorry cob, been battling to be on here recently, but I'll keep that in mind for next week's dose of first class advice. I'll go vote now.
