Seems a few are holding Walker. Truthfully I don't see the reason behind keeping him (besides him being a green dot). His base stats are practically non existent to make him consistently fantasy relevant. Not much kicking and only tackles when he really has to. Any base stats he racks up quickly gets negated by missed tackles and he's making a few errors too which is forgivable. He's constantly banged up and he was really shown up last week. If the Roosters aren't on and he's not getting the attacking opportunities, he really suffers. He's possibly a bit too young to have multiple strings to his bow and opposition may start working him out and targeting him. I do believe his age and size hurts him in the fantasy world. He'll break if he plays every week by the end of the season.

The week before he scored a nice try but only finished with 33. I'm feeling he's too erratic to rely upon and will more than likely trade him out. Playing late Saturday hurts with loop options and getting someone like Burton for him this week seems a no brainer (Can't afford Hynes).

What are people realistically expecting from him moving forward?

Turning Walker into Fog seems like an absolute no brainer to me.

I don't NEED to do it though, Walker isn't in my 17 at the moment so although his price might go backwards, his scoring won't hurt me. I am down to 15 trades after trading Paps. Really feel like trades are gold at the moment.

Fair. Looking at my post above, there is possibly every chance I wuss out and keep him. Gut feel is to dump him though.

It is really tempting though. If I got Fogarty then Schuster could replace Flegler on my bench and my team looks really strong.

Everyone's team make-up is different, but my reasons for holding Walker for the community team:

    - Used a lot of trades already and using 1 on Pap to have 17.
    - A lot of the guns I'd trade Walker to are in contention for origin and will still be affordable next week.
    - Plays 80 mins in a normally good team, albeit struck down with injuries/suspensions currently.
    - Plays Rd 17 if other fires start and maybe bounces back after last week's shocker.

I've kneejerk traded others in the past after a shocker and regretted it. People did that with Best last year after a 6 too from memory.

For some, it might be a no-brainer to upgrade him now when crunching the numbers, but not so clearcut for others.

If I didn’t have a couple of deadbeat Tigers to sort out id probably be looking into what I could do with Walker.

Could trade out one Tiger and Walker for Walsh and Burton. But yeah not sure if that’s necessary

Fair points and may very well be a knee jerk reaction. If I hold, I'll have to play him again unless Leniu suddenly gets some minutes. That's with playing Alvaro in the 17 too.

So put up a TU TD post for Thompson and TPJ. But just want to flesh out my ideas more and keen for an opinion. Papali’i is also an option but will drop more price and costs almost 100k more than these options below.

    Luke Thompson

Averaging 58 in 58 minutes this season so far. Scored two tries so far too. In the one game that he had with Jackson, he played 50 minutes. Passes the eye test - is busy on the field, and has a bit of attacking upside. Plays for a shit team though. Doesn’t play R13 but will play every game afterwards barring injury and suspension. Only available in MID at 682k

    Tevita Pangai Junior

Averaging 59.3 in 80 minute second row games this season - also scored two tries so far. Also plays in a shit team but his spot and minutes are secure. Attacking upside but not that much of a work rate, also in a shit team. DPP MID EDG at 695k. Concern is risk of suspension due to his history, and is apparently an Origin bolter. If traded in this week, and then gets picked for Game 1, he loses his Round 13 playing value. And then will miss Round 17 due to a bye/Origin

    Any thoughts appreciated!!

3rd Fantasy league in about 10 years for me so fairly green. Seasons been decent, currently ranked about about 7000th with 17 trades to spare.

My sole focus is my work H2H league and I can't find anything in the FAQ about how the bye rounds work. So next week for Rd13, will I just play the next guy as I usually would in any other round? I've heard things such as us not even having a H2H matchup in rds 13 and 17? Is this true?

I've been focusing on trying to bring in RD13 players, but if we don't play that week that strategy makes no sense

Either way, cheers for all the tips so far this season fellas. I started out 1W-2L after three weeks and am now 8 on the trot, equal top of the table at work and couldn't be happier

Easiest way to check would be looking at fixture list and seeing if R13 & R17 are on there?

Should also be a setting that says whether bye rounds are on or off

Is Haas still the best gun for that price range? Can afford everyone but Jarome Hughes... who would be the best for my h2h team? Haas, Ipap, Friz?

Yeah the community team is in the same position with Walker and Alvaro in the 17. I was leaning towards upgrading Alvaro to Luciano for +20, mainly because the Walker trade ideas are origin candidates and would suck if Walker scored around the same and both missed next week.

Walker's KM base has tanked last 2 weeks with the return of Lam, so it is concerning having to rely solely on the attacking stats. Pretty good chance Walker makes way next week for someone who misses out on origin, but on current prices being able to upgrade Walker to 757k and those targets under 700k, the 68 BE for Walker isn't much of an issue.

Is Walker to Walsh a bad trade? Going in opposite directions and will probably keep him around
