Storm happy to pick him on the back of no games played in a month(gotta return to first grade at some point right). Freddie won't be

Hynes for points (incl. rd13) and quick cash generation

There is a small chance Burton gets picked for Origin, but I think this was only floated in the media because he scored 3 tries last round.

Yeah, don't see him playing Origin.

Ponissi said on Tuesday they hoped he'd start light work this week. Unsure if that has happened or not.

Who is closer to the team on the ground though? Ponissi is with the team.

Yeah this is what worries me. I don't wanna trade him if he will be playing next week or the week after. I have decent cash in the bank that I can hold him and still get Fifita after Origin 1 via a Leniu + Laurie trade + can still grab TPJ + my Lewis punt this week by getting rid of Walker and Simpkin... But then I don't want to hold onto him for another 4 weeks while he is still recovering.

    What would you do?

    a) Walker + Simpkin > TPJ + Lewis + 72K (holding Crichton and Pappy + likely 0 trades next week + only need to really worry about Fifita after Origin 1)

    b) Walker + Pappy > TPJ + Lewis + 502K (trade Simpkin next week + try and get Pappy and Fifita back after Origin)

NOTE: already a Baked Beans and Peanut Butter Cups owner.

    Thoughts guys?

Would you hold Pappy and hope he is back R14?

Or trade Pappy and aim to get him back at hopefully a 100K discount?

Lewis probably ends up on the bench this week in final team lists?

If I get rid of Walker I may need to move my Round 17 strategy to quality over quantity and just grab the absolute top tier guys that I’d be happy to finish the year with.

Tohu, Lolo definitely being looked at

With Crichton suspended I will be running a loopty loop with Lewis and Laurie. Is 35 a good enough handle you reckon? Laurie been very hot and cold lately.

Schuster has a decent floor of 38 points but needs attacking stats to go higher which he can easily do but McCullough can just tackle his way to 50+ most weeks. The one score below 50 he has was the game against the Storm where they played with 12 men against a team that likes to play to the edges.

I'll be holding him until atleast 17. If I run out of trades I'll be comfortable running home with him. Ideally I'll be able to push him to 17/18th man by then

He was amazing for us last week! One of our bests. I don't think Cooper is up to NRL yet and then next week I reckon Lewis will either be half or edge and then I am gambling he goes well enough that I can ride a couple bench scores hopefully after Origin.

I feel like taking a gamble with trades in hand and I have a feeling this could be a quick 120K+ over the next 3 weeks.

At least I only have to wait until 7pm to find out if he is in there.

Also gives me 13 next week (if TPJ isn't picked) and 14 if Pappy somehow plays (doubt it though)

I might not be reading the room well on how this season is playing out for people in NRLF, but it seems to me you'd be mad to trade out a DPP guy averaging 50 that isnt playng origin before round 17.

Also, it might just have been a one off, but it seemed to me that Schuster might get to play slapsies a bit more when he is playing in the halves. I'm pretty sure he picked up all his TBs via three seperate cut back sideways nothing runs where he batted off players....

I think if you can cover him adequately then spending a trade to get him out and then another to get him back at a slight discount is a bit wasteful.

Papy is the kind of player that could still come back and score a 70-80 and really not lose that much at all

THIS! This is the reason I have held Pappy now and gone Simpkin and Walker out instead to TPJ and Lewis (Have Turbo, Teddy, Hynes, Laurie to cover). Pappy can come back and pump out 70 points (which he will be roaring to go) and lose 15K 1 week and then be back to square even

I am trading him...but I need to trade someone to get 17 on the field and my other red dots have solid return dates.

If I had 17 green dots this week, given I have Hynes already, I would probably hold another week to see if there is any more info

Just looked through my team and I have 5 under 6% ownership, yet seem very high around this place

    Leniu - 5.2% (9% top 100)
    Lewis - 2.5% (0.02% top 5000)
    Starling - 3.4% (19% top 100)
    Fogarty - 3.5% (22% top 100)
    Matterson - 4.8% (31% top 100)

I guess this stems from a lot of casuals not reading into bye rounds, injuries, other news, etc.

Fords average of 47 is interesting. Won’t be a huge cash builder unless he gets some attacking stats.
I think you could do worse for a month.

Maybe I should just stick to the popular Burton trade in this week and hope he doesn’t score a couple this week

I have 19 green dots so trading before the first game kicks off feels a little unnecessary. Granted 4 of those green dots are Flegler, Walker, Roberts, and Simonsson.. still feels like at least two of those could score well enough to be worth holding a trade.

Trading Walker means I’m playing with 16 unless I double trade. Probably not the best idea

Jeeze Ford actually has a decent average at Lock... although even with a 45 average he doesn't make that much coin before Moose/Tyrell returns.
