Someone should make a Rabbits "thoughts on player x" tracker. Would love to know the % of players in the game he has sought out thoughts on come season's end.

Their halves depth is shoddy as well isn’t it?
Milford likely gone
Kelly is 30
Croft is shit
Gamble is young and has looked ok
Staggs spoken about 5/8 but I don’t see it
Solution: let’s play Kelly with a has been

Hence signing A Reynolds.
I don't really understand the KHunt selection. Gamble has been ok, better to just persist with Kelly + Gamble.

Yeah would’ve just stuck with Kelly Gamble IMO. They’ve been playing alright and got a nice win against the Roosters too. Don’t think Khunt will offer much
If Isaako didn’t make the blunder before half time it could’ve been a different game against the Dragons. Hard to blame the halves for that

Thanks PGC! And MS, MTB, Winfield, Bludger and everyone else for their thoughts. I'll maintain my current status of assertiveness and possibly push towards aggressiveness approaching rd17/18.

Gamble out for KHunt seems insane to me. Probably just sack Walters now?

Bronco's no chance of making finals (or if by any chance they make it, they have no chance of winning).
KHunt is not a future half. Gamble has shown some grit, but is pretty sloppy. Kelly goes alright and is an old head. Milford is gone. Croft no longer exists.
I feel Kevvy and the board members are too afraid to admit they are in "rebuilding" mode. They shouldn't be chopping and changing halves every 3 weeks.
Leave one of Gamble or Kelly there to play 7 and if they really promised Staggs a spot in the halves for next year, why not give him 3 months to work his way into the role, instead of throwing him in at the start of next year.

Dogs vs. Dragons on Monday has been a regular occurrence every year since 2015 for some reason.
Dogs with a sneaky 4-2 record

I think he was always going to have a couple of games at centre when he first returned from ACL.
Moving Farnworth to 1 this week is a big move. Hes basically never played there before. Wouldn't make sense to throw Staggs in at 6 at the same time, but it also doesn't make sense to drop Gamble for Khunt.. soo..
Obviously they are picking Khunt for "experience" but he hasn't exactly done much at centre in Q CUP all season (yes he did play his first game in the halves last week)

I'm really interested to see your progress from now. You're set nicely with a great team. I think holding or trading players like Fog could also be a key part to your success mate. The little things like that could make a big difference and will probably be some of the harder decisions to make. 3 trades from round 19/20 seems a little risky but we've already seen the rules slightly relaxed. Whether it changes after Origin who knows, but I think fines and sin bins will become more the norm as opposed to suspensions and we saw with Lucy getting off things could be relaxing already IMO.
I remember a couple of years ago when I still wasn't that great at this game, I took an approach to conserve some trades for any late season injuries or suspensions. This one year the last 6 weeks was quite clear and teams at the top with no trades had a great run with really no restings or suspensions. This made me use a couple of trades late season for the sake of it. I remember I went BMoz when he was at the Dogs and playing FB I think, but he scored like shit and I was worse off. I still finished around 500-700 so it wasn't disastrous but probably finished a little higher not doing the forced trades for the sake of it. But the point is, I agree going hard and crossing the fingers for the run home in your situation is probably the play. If you take a different approach conserve trades waiting for others to fall that have no trades, it's probably too late. Even 4 trades from round 19-25 seems doable.

If you are going to go hard you need to hold a trade or two heading into the final round, particularly if you are carrying players from the top 4....players being rested in R20 definitely bit hard last year. Being able to swap Cleary out for the next best half could really help you move up or hold steady depending on the circumstances.
Edit : Panthers play earlyish in the final round this year....they rested a number of players last year both in game through reduced minutes and by leaving them out

Good point. Or if no one is rested the last round go a wild POD play to try and jump a few extra ranks.

I think last year was the exception with player resting. No byes meant most players had played 18 games straight. That's a long time to have the niggling injuries hang around. I would expect we see less resting than last year

Good point!! Just salty cause I got fucked over and dropped out of the top 100
Edit : I still like to keep a trade for the final week though.....traded in Semi Radradra one year on a whim and managed to take out the $500 work comp (let's not talk about the other years it didn't prove decisive)

Its only non origin players that get the benefit of a bye round. Any origin players that play all 3 games could effectively have 25 straight weeks of football if they don't get rested.
Are there internation games on the same weekend as origin 2 ?
