Has Aitken been good since like, 2018? In the ctrs, you have Avo, bird and peach as options the rest a trash. if people are hoping that bringing in a ctr for rd17 points is going to make a difference, then they have rocks in their head.

Tolman and Jackson look decent options also for cheap that could sit in the 14-17 all year.

Just looked at the matches for the week - don't have more than 3 players in any game. A change from most of the season to date where I've had at least 1 match each week with a stack of players.

Getting a bit of FOMO on Tohu and Verrills as I can't grab them until next week. Hoping for a 30 minute bench stint from Verrills and an early shower for Tohu

Might only bring in one more and focus on keepers like Fifita and Papenhuyzen when he returns.

Before locking anything in I have Schuster, Walsh, Simonsson, Tohu, Avo (+ Crichton if we get lucky with Origin selections).

Will almost certainly bring in Verills + AFB, but still feels a touch light. If I go through with Thompson + SJ this week that's 9, probably about right?

At the moment I have 9

Still have the following R17 players on the watchlist: Crichton (if no Origin), Taupau, Reynolds, Lolo, Jackson, Ramien, AFB, SST, Suaalii

Will most likely have at least 11, maybe 12 when the bye comes around. Injury/suspension will probably dictate who I bring in

If I was to turn Olam into Avo which isn’t cheap I would need to turn Tino into someone like ARey to accomodate this week

Avo/Arey or Aitken/Harris?

Or keep Olam and just aim for 13 players in the bye round?

Incredibly - not even in that order.

I have 4 round 17 players before trades, yucko.

I think after some backflipping I'll settle on just Laurie to SJ this week. Brings me up to 6 for R10, I'll use 4 more to get up to 10 leaving 9 trades for R18 onwards which should be solid.

Give Watson and Matto another week & decide between Lolo, Taupau, and Thompson next week, + AFB, Verills and one more before R17.

I am in a similar spot.
Flegler -> Verrills
Laurie -> Walsh

I was about to pull the trigger on Matto to Taupau with my third trade but I'm not sure its worth pulling the trigger just yet. I could get Harris but the extra spend will impact my ability to get Fifita/Ponga/etc later on...

I don't really even need to get Verrills this week assuming he comes off the bench.

8 before trades for me....think I'll save my sideways action for a couple of weeks more (real time not rounds )

I picked up Tohu last week which worked well. I don't have Verrills yet, but am happy to wait a round to see how he goes.
How many were you aiming to have again for rd17?

Going from 5 to 6*

Aim for 10-12. I didn't end up attacking R13 as hard as I would've liked - too many struggles just to get 17 out week-to-week leading in - but think I now have the ability to go a bit harder at R17 than initially planned.

More interesting question is how many trades after R17 left?
