Well if Tohu is out which I expect I’m down to 15 this week with no Teddy, Turbo, DCE, Moses, Tohu (if out) and Suaali. I’ll have to play Verrills this week too.

So Moses was sent for scans on his back, geez I hope he’s aye ok and it’s just as a precaution.

Must admit I didn’t see that coming from Captain Fifita pretty disappointing. Schuster and Haumole’ scores were very welcoming as was Peachey updating from 28 to 33.

I didn’t watch any of the games I was working but a mate messaged me and said geez Macca looked cooked very tired. The TA and LBA saved him otherwise would’ve scored just 41. I have made no trades this week so I’ll take the hit this week and still have 5 left. This round was always gonna be a shit show.

I have Haumole and Peachey in loops as well so I’ll get watch my rank plummet then when loops are added Sunday hopefully I can hold rank or go close to doing that!

Well done to those who got Mahoney that was a great move.

After calculating updated scores and loops I would be 5/310 C. 10 more to come this round.

I don't know if this already a known thing, but I think I may of found a loophole when it comes to betting on the First Try Scorer market on SB.

So if you pick a FTS, you can either multi it with either a ATS and or also add To Score A Try First Half to increase your odds many fold.

I don't usually bet on FTS as I think it's a mugs game but if you're going to put on a FTS bet you might as well go all the way as your odds increase with out any consequence as far as I can see.

I already put this bet on for tomorrow so am I missing something ?

Just regarding Macca, it's not normal for him to miss 4 tackles in a game so he could've got to like 46 odd without the TA/LBA and a few less missed tackles like normal. Personally I'm not worried about him at all, as long as he is playing 80 mins he will be sweet. If his mins start dropping then we will be having a different conversation, but until then he should be fine.

157/4.  Fifita, IPap, Bird and Fog. Pretty abysmal when Bird is the highest scorer.

Not that mad this morning with the Matto to Fifita trade.  45 doing sweet fuck all, at least he's in my team now.  Well done those that held Matto. Next week would have been tricky trying to get him and a Ponga/Turbo, so onwards and upwards.  Fog is a concern though as I only have 5K now.  Can see the difference between him and Mahoney being 6K after lockout as that seems to be how fantasy goes.  Could also sit there for a week and be a Cleary springboard or DCE as a cheaper alternate.  6 trades left which seems okay.

A few players to come and still have a solid 17.  Watson, AFB, Tolo, Manu, Burton, Laurie, captain Haas plus others so a few chances to try and jag some ranks back.

    Well done Schuster holders too.

Your ticket would have been a big price deduction post scratching off DCE in racing

Lucky enough to get on The Dragons +18.5 earlier in the week before team changes.

Was still a good bet when it went to +15.5 when Turbo pulled out.

90 as a captain score isn't ideal, could have been far worse.  The round has just begun.

    No it wont work.

Well it will, they will allow you to place the bet. But the any time try scorer is cancelled out by the first try scorer. Their algos are smart enough to understand when one leg depends on another and basically null value it.

I actually think they reduce the odds slightly as a "lol dont be a dickhead"

I always think its funny when i see people create these huge same game multis with a bunch of legs rhat essentially add nothing to the odds. Like adding "storm to win" with "storm 13+" is exactly the same as just having "storm 13+".

One of the most popular bets for Origin had 3 anytime tryscorers but also had NSW H2H win plus NSW 13+! WTF?  There was like 2500 people that had taken up this particular multi too.  I'm not a big gambling man but this confused the hell out of me.

A testing start to round. Teddy, turbo, Moses out,
    fog low score and sell.
    Captain Fifita
    Hunt shit the bed
    Papali reduced minutes.
Also had none of any decent scorers so far.

If only while i was musing yesterday about Matto containing DFifi so therefore picking iPap as C i'd thought....but Matto.

Anyway, damage limited. And having all three it kinda worked out. H2H opponent went Dfifi C but had no Matto, and also lost DCE soon after with no cover so i'm a neck in front, so to speak.

Like a few others, not the best start of the round for me. I was close to trading in Mahoney but ultimately passed which kind of sucks but thats Fantasy. Just thankful I checked in before the Manly match and saw DCE so I could reverse trading him in. If Ponga is out then I will be reversing my other trade and playing 16 I guess. Just thankful Origin is over now.
