That’s what I’m hoping happens. But the fantasy gods aren’t always that forthcoming

Agree with this. Papy is a better player than Hynes and the first choice number 1. Whether that happens this week or round 25 remains to be seen. But if the grand final was being played today Papy has the number 1 jersey

Yeah, I'm starting to lean towards him.

Guys can I get your thoughts?

Got my trades this week locked down

    Macca + SJ > Cook + Ponga + 543K

    Next week I can go

Hynes > Cleary in the 1 trade (I am assuming Hynes drops to about 730K)... leaving 63K itb.

Now do I hold there and run the year out with 2 trades... or do I take the stab and go Burton (Roughly 530K with a 50 this week in the halves) > a premium centre 593K or below... thinking Staggs, Rapana or Lomax and then run the year out with 1 trade from R21-25, but plenty of cover.

I wouldn’t be using a trade at this stage of the season on a CTR with 2 functioning legs and arms

Rapana may not even be FB this week on, Simonsson back on extended bench. Lomax still got cash to drop from before injury

Thanks MTB and MS - Sounds like I better hold the trade so I can bring Pappy in as soon as he's named at 1.

    What's better?

    a) Ponga this week, wait for Grant/Koro next week (or see if Macca bounces back)

    b) Doueihi + Cook this week

    SJ + Macca out.

First 3 trades are the same as mine. I understand the appeal, but personally I couldn't use my second to last trade on a fit centre. Despite recent scores, he's still averaging 40.5 at CTR this year, you'll maybe get a 5 point upgrade.

This is true...good point. 2 Trades for the last 4 rounds could also be huge in picking up some late spots on those who run out of trades

Also I would rather go option b with yours mate.

I think it depends on number of trades. I’d consider Macca a luxury trade and would hold if trades are low. If you have heaps, Cook is a definite upgrade.

Well. 4 injuries (including Cleary) and 2 suspensions this week. My 'who needs trades when you have great cover' strategy just bit me in the ass.

Does anyone have the captain stats for this week? Interested to see if people are keeping fifita as their captain or moving across to Haas/Other. I know many prob have Turbo as captain.

5, although SJ -> Ponga/Doueiei and Hynes -> Cleary are pencilled in, so effectively 3.

Thanks mate. My only concern with that one is Cook gets a rest with the Bunnies pretty safe in the top 4, where I don't think Grant/Koro would with all their time off.

Don't do this to me!!! Has Wayne been notorious for resting his stars leading into finals?? I can't remember.... looking at you Broncos and Rabbits fans

Thing with Grant is he will probably come back to his 55 minutes a game where he is only averinga 49 points a game and that is with 3 tries in 7 games. With Koro his only 3 games above 50 this year are when he has gone over 50 tackles, in all other games he is only averaging 32 tackles a game... also have to look out for Mitch Kenny on the bench when Koro returns as Koro has only played 80 minutes 3 times.

If you skip Cook this week and he goes 60+ he is pushing 715-720K as well which seems a but much.

    tough one

    If I set up as:

    17. Fog
    18. AFB
    19. Verrills
    20. Hetherington

I get Fog if he plays, get a free look at Verrills as the reserve who comes in if Fog doesn't play, and can loop Hetherington and AFB if I don't like Verrills' score, right?

Could be talking completely out my ass with that one, might just being too cautious.

Looking back, Cook played every round from 17 onwards in 2019 and played 80 every time. Last year he played 80 every game except the final round when got a 10 minute early mark when they battered the Roosters. 2018 he got a 5 minute early mark in round 25. Probably pretty safe based off that.

What was their position though? Were they top 4 or out of top 4?

Tricky one, it feels wrong to take it off a guy who just scored 100 and is playing the Dogs. Then again, if he's not going to play 80 it felt like a bit of a get out of jail free card. Tempted to switch to Haas.

    2018 and 19 they finished 3rd, last year 6th.
