Yeah I'd go Trindall if I do it this week. But would you do it this week, or get someone different next week to reduce the risk of Cleary not playing next week?

Hard to know if anyone decent turns up next week. Blore might get a 50 and would be perfect next though. The others you'd think become too expensive next week. I'm just going DCE and will skip Cleary but if I were aiming for Cleary, you'd have to do your sums to see what you could afford next week I guess. Takes a bit of forward planning. Trindall looks like a handy EMG now too with SJ out the year and Moylan also made of glass.

    Speaking of Trindall, I found this;

    https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/07/28/its-tricky-trindall-eager-to-fill-johnsons-boots/

But Trindall believed he was primed to show why he has already been earmarked by incoming coach Craig Fitzgibbon as the Sharks' long-term No.7 thanks to lessons learned from Johnson himself.

Really? Aren't they keeping Moylan? Nico already slotting into the halves too.

Surely both are 5/8ths more than halfbacks though. Can't see a Hynes/Moylan pairing having the necessary game management.

As good as he has been, I still think Hynes should be their fullback over Kennedy.

Cheers for all the input on Ponga/Doueihi.

This just reinforces my recent thoughts that the loser of TU/TD is usually the one I want to go with.

Gotta go with the gut on this one, right?

Personally Doueihi feels like one of those forum picks that when it goes wrong someone pulls out the overall ownership and it's clear we're the only one's on board. Then someone with a spreadsheet pipes in with something like 'but the stats....the three game average...average playing in this position for over xxx minutes'.

I've gone SJ to Ponga this week. Still has a high BE so some might be waiting for him to drop cash, good to get on first if he has a big one. By next week there'll be another issue to deal with.

Doueihi scores well when he dominates kick metres, or gets bulk attacking stats. If he doesn't have the bulk kick metres it's going to look really bad when the attacking stats dry up

I am going Doueihi over Ponga this week because
    - I need half cover while holding Cleary as Hynes' ongoing role is unclear
    - Doueihi did not have to pass a late fitness test to play
    - He loves a good cry

If it was a straight race between him and Ponga then history would suggest that Ponga is the more likely to bust out a 100 or win you a head to head game (If cover wasn't an issue I would pick Ponga)

Reckon Moylan is at best utility value next rear, hand the reigns over to trindall and hynes, and see how they go.

Most of our best current halves weren't that great in their first 20 - 30 games in top grade

Brooks has dominated the kicking over the last few weeks.....I am banking on a combination of attacking stats & a bit of kicking.

I am also going in eyes wide open. If it fails it fails.

Doueihi also didnt back down from Marty Taupau when he tried to trip him which is more points for him in my book.

I encourage everyone to watch some SJ highlight reels before his hammies started going. My god he was an incredible player, I really forgot how well he moved.

Also seems like one of the nicest NRL players in the game currently. No homo.

Hope he can give the warriors a fit 24 games next season. Great dude, great player...no homo

You're allowed to compliment other males. People aren't questioning your sexuality over it.

I rewound that about 5 times. I reckon Doueihi actually said “run at me”. I admire his gusto, not so much his will to remain physically intact though.

What if you wear a shirt with another blokes name on the back? Does it mean he owns you?
