The teams would be best to get out of QLD. Take them to Perth where we don't deal with Covid. The other option is Canberra but that's unlikely given it's Canberra.

Pretty confident Qld Will sort this out with the 3-day lockdown. Assuming that happens, teams used to play mid week matches all the time. Just rejig so the 5 postponed games are played across 5 Tuesday nights in the last 5 weeks. Can do it by ensuring the teams involved play Thurs/Fri before and Sun after

If all five games don't take place tomorrow, probably the fairest thing for fantasy would be void the round and revert all teams/trades/points to how they were before lockout lifted last week. If the games are played midweek over the next month then ignore them, fantasy-wise. Every solution would have someone complaining but that seems the fairest.

In terms of the actual NRL, I don't think it massively matters if half a round is called off and never replayed, with the ladder going to win percentage rather than points. It's an uneven draw anyway which is exactly the reason the competition is decided by playoffs rather than a straight ladder.

Agree on this.

NRL season is too long as it is. There are already rounds during origin period that you could call "unfair" due to players being unavailable.

Losing a few games from the season is not a big deal imo.

Fantasy, well if youre in a position to win prizes I feel for you, bit of a nervous wait to see how it pans out for you. Lucky for me, this year was already a bit of a write off.

Anyway. The gf was meant to be at a course today which is now running via zoom meeting so im left to drink on the deck for a few hours..

If they end up splitting the extra  games 1 a week over the next month, then double game weeks is the way to go.

This sort of thing happens all the time for fantasy soccer leagues. I think its much less fair to take away points that players have scored rather than to give people who have more trades more opportunity to score points.

From a non-Fantasy point of view. If the round can't be completed by Monday, I think the best thing to do is to finish off the round next weekend. And then carry on with round 22 the weekend after as usual.
R21 can be played after round 26 if they want the full number of rounds and can make the extra week work logistically.
Main thing is to actually make sure NRL can continue next week and not get caught up in any further lockdowns.

The big deal about losing games is the NRL contract with the broadcasters. No games no cash. No cash no NRL.

It's quite possible this is resolved quickly.  All teams are back in their bubbles.  No crowds.  No shlappers.

Yeah the only thing I’m sure of are the postpone games will get played becuase $$$. Whether it’s Sunday/Monday, midweeks or an additional round 20b pushing the season back.

No games today is bad enough, but if tomorrow’s games are called off too, I’m going to have to take a really long shower.
