Sounds like James has better things to do. 3pm kickoff on a Saturday is pretty rough. Don't even have time for breakfast.

Jumping Marlin wrote:I missed the earlier discussion on "is Fifita lazy" Vs "Fifita is smart to preserve his energy".

To add to the debate: set out below is the average time between tackles for a number of second rowers (sorry, edge forwards) in 2021.

[Interpretation: Matterson makes a tackle every 2.1 minutes he is on the field]

    2.1mins:   Matto
    2.2mins:   Friz, CHN
    2.4mins:   Angus
    2.5 mins:  Sitili
    2.6mins:   Kolo, Lucy
2.9 mins:  Kikau, Schuster (just games he played 2nd row)

So the range of workhorses to those I'd suspect are lazy (or more kindly, short burst power athletes), ranges from making a tackle every 2.1 mins to a tackle every 2.9mins.

So, where do you think our good friend David Fifita sits??

Yep - a statistical outlier with a tackle every 3.2mins.

I would like to read this but I think I'll skip it and just go with some sweeping generalisations informed by my own bias(ed) Laughing

This week I think I'll say he's a lazy, good for nothin' laggard!

Round 19 he was a top bloke loved and cherished by the rugby league (fantasy) community and I, for one, was calling for a bronze statue in his likeness to be erected in Cavill Mall

Mate I think the Storm will take the comp out and go back to back I just think they’ll be too good.

It’s just a matter of who versus them in the GF now for mine.

The Storm haven't looked as clinical in the last 3 games, not sure if they will make it if they keep playing like that.
Panthers need to find their mojo back too. I think Raiders and Manly are a chance.
