Unusual timing with Gagai moving on, would have thought he was the most likely replacement.robelgordo wrote:Braidon Burns to Bulldogs, was intrigued but don’t think he’ll be as cheap as I first thought

Dufty, JAC, Naden, Hoppa, Cotric, Avo, Burton, with Burns now in the mix as well. Not sure what their plans are for guys like Allan, Meaney, Okunbor, Flano and Lewis. They have some decent depth that they have been lacking in recent years.
Would expect Flano Snr gets a gig as coach somewhere this season and Jr transfers to that club.
For the most past an immortal is conidered a 1 team player. This is far more alignened with the salary cap environmentmultiple.scoregasms wrote:
There is a case to be made that he should be an immortal based on his impact on the game. Had an entire generation of kids trying to do the "Benji" step on their siblings in the backyard. Led one of the biggest upsets of all time in the 2008 world cup final, golden boot winner and managed 346 club games. One of the most memorable grand final moments of the NRL era. I don't think we will ever see another player with that much talent that is universally loved by all fan bases

I don't expect he will become an immortal just due to not "peaking" as high as the next in line guys like Smith, Thurston, Lockyer, Slater.
Playing for 4 different clubs wouldn't help the case

robelgordo wrote:Benji definitely a player who's influence is greater than their actual performance. Still a great player. Has proven super durable too, I'd suggest completely busts the "injury prone" myth.
And now the toughest part - MORE CUTS
Manly farewell 5 - Sironen (UK), Suli (Dragons), Funa, Gosie, Saddler
Funa cut the same day they re-signed Taufua, who was behind him all year and is much older, seems harsh. Boyle also re-signed, and Bullemore confirmed
Storm farewell 11, beating the Dragons (10) for highest turnover so far - Finucane & Hynes (Sharks), JAC (Bulldogs), then the cuts: Lee, Pene, Booth, King (just signed with Bulldogs), Turahai, Jacks, Atkinson, Smoothy
Also Bulldogs looking at Burns as a winger. Could see him there R1 2022 but NO BUYS as a fantasy asset.
