    Fantasy Prayer
Give us grace to accept with serenity
the players that cannot be changed,
    Courage to trade the players
    which should be changed,
    and the Wisdom to distinguish
    the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one stat at a time,
Accepting TB's as a pathway to peace,
    Taking, as the NRL did,
This Fantasy world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that NRL FF will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

    Amen

Pretty sad for the fella - only 24 years old.
Still, there's never a good age to have to retire due to concussions.

That's a shame I always enjoyed the way he played putting his body on the line which ironically probably lead to his concussions

I like the niukore signing he's a big body coming off the bench runs hard is pretty fast & can cover middle, edge & ctr. For years the Warriors have had a small pack now they are getting size to physically dominate in the forwards which hasn't always been the case. If you win the forward battle it goes a long way in winning the game.

    From DT:
    SIX-AGAIN TWEAK

As if there haven’t been enough rugby league rule changes … now the NRL wants to tamper with the controversial six-again law next season.

Under the new plan, teams will get a penalty inside their own 20-metre zone instead of six-again for when the opposition is offside or caught interfering and slowing down the play-the-ball. This often happens early in the tackle count when teams deliberately give away a six-agains to keep opponents pinned on their own line.

I don't like all the rule changes but if you are going to do this make it 1/2 way not 20m

If all the numbers are true it's the same per year that Dogs offered Mahoney and 250k more than Eels offered. I know which one I'd rather have

Pearce to Catalans, Cust to Wigan.

Metcalf joining Niukore at Warriors from 2023. Even money Brown is sacked before he gets all his new toys.

    Mike Cannon-Brookes to Souffs

Just looked thru the NRL squads, and noticed we signed George Burgess for 2 years!

1 year was a head scratcher bit 2 is madness…

He’s had a hip resurfacing. AFAIK the only athlete in any sport to play after that surgery is Andy Murray and he is having to manage himself through a non-contact sport.

    Just mental.

If reports are to be believed, then the Eels offered Mahoney $450k per year (3 years) and signed RCG on $800k per year.

I'd suggest the Eels are a much worse team when missing Mahoney then they are missing RCG.
Which leave's me with either the Eels know things that I don't, or that just maybe the reports simply aren't to be believed (NRL journo's are pretty good at filling in blanks with their own creations it seems).

I'm not sure Niukore is worth the reported average salary of $625k, but on the plus side, he is very versatile (highly capable at centre, in the second row or middle), has 4 years of NRL experience now, and at 25 should be coming into his prime & seems good at avoiding injury so far.

Question needs to be asked though-was turning up to your 1st Fanatics meet up not enough to quit taking a risky punt?

You'd think the NRL had learnt to stay the fuck away from that family in general.

Its a horrible waste of money for a utility player. Where is the sense in the Warriors management?
