Yeah definitely could, would pick him up for sure if it was known. See how trials go but for now a bit too uncertain for mine

If the Schuster news is true (haven't seen it anywhere official) it makes picking a squad now even more pointless than it is already.

Everyone is going to want the Manly 2RF named on TLT, but we have no idea whether that will be Davey (240k), Bullemor (330k) or Keppie (400k)... all will be value but the difference in prices could completely change the rest of your squad composition. Of course, for fantasy purposes almost everyone is going to wishfully assume it's Davey.

For my squad composition I would rather Davey was on the bench.

Matt Manly don’t play their interchange players many mins. I couldn’t see Davey getting many mins.

    If he’s on the bench

Well Davey was incumbent last year (until injured 4 minutes into his first game as starter)

That was before Schuster and Olakau'atu emerged as genuine options, and they've since signed Bullemor.
but your right that there is no point trying to guess who it is right now.

Davey has never played less than 35 minutes when coming off the bench for Manly

What I mean is generally Des doesn’t generally give his interchange players too many minutes.

Bullemore is a great signing by manly,  I haven't gone beyond a auto fill for fantasy.

I just can't see it with Davey.

Journeyman about to secure 1st grade spot at 29 was implausible enough, but journeyman about to secure 1st grade spot at 30 after an ACL (with 2-3 younger talents emerging in the meantime) seems a bridge too far.

Stranger things have happened but it feels like he had one shot and just got really unlucky.

Referring to a conversation a few pages back on the topic that you win/lose fantasy by your trades and not your starting team. The attached relates to SuperCoach (sorry) but it’s a great analysis of how the guy who came around 2,500th (the author) compared to the guy who won the whole thing. Quite a small number of key decisions that made a huge difference. (Lots of numbers but a good read)

If 2 Schuster weeks last year were equivalent to 8 real weeks, does that mean he's out for the season
