I don't. Cowboys won a premiership with Kostjasyn off the bench. They're the best team in the world. Why would they change their system? Just for our fantasy benefits? lol!

Kostjasyn actually looked very good off the bench today, as he has done the past 9 months.

Seriously? Ayshford is one of the best defensive centres in the comp. No doubts about that. He reads the game excellently.

I'm not sure I'd say one of the best defensive centres in the comp but he is most certainly up there, I think what Blue is hinting more towards is his lack of creativity in attack. The guy is literally just a "get the ball after all the hard work is done and fall over the line" type.

Now the question is which should be valued more, the attack or defense? Personally I'd say the defense but there are people out there that hate defensive teams and others that hate teams that play free flowing attack all the time but can't defend for shit.

Pretty sure if you asked most raiders fans would they like the Croker edge to be a bit stiffer in defence they'd take it!

    The first round.
    Tom - injury
    George - injury + suspension

Why I picked up Harris so I could switch Merrin into FRF for Ultimate to cover for Gurgess.

I noticed that Maloney took on the goal kicking duties in the trial for the Sharks Smile
Also Rankin shared goalkicking duties with Moses for the tigers Neutral

Somebody already mentioned this, but how refreshing was it to have Robinson, Boyd, and Thurston at the touch screen after the game? Can anybody tell me if this is a Superleague thing, or just for the WCC? They need to institute something like that in the NRL.

see this is where i think the interpretations of reduced interchange, for fantasy coaches, is a bit blurred.

if a hooker isnt going to play 80, then a coach has to burn 2 interchanges to use two hookers. therefore, why would one play 65 and the other 15? it doesnt make sense at all to have one bench player play 10 to 15 mins, when an interchange is 'worth more' now that they are reduced to 8.

if you're going to play two hookers then they should share fairly even mins (maybe one 30, one 50), to get the best out of both.

i can actually see more situations this year where a 17th player doesnt get on the field.

following on from this, and this is just one example, but the broncos:- 4 of their starting pack can play 80 mins, comfortably. macca, parker, gillett, and glenn can all play 80 mins if the coach requires it. in that case, its only four interchanges to sub the props for a break and then come back on to finish the game.

The other option is to just play one guy 50-60 minutes, then sub him off and don't sub him back on again.

Depends on the relative quality of your 2 hookers (or other positions, you could do the same for props, back rowers too), and whether you want your start on for the end of the game or not. But I could see Manly for example playing Koro from the start, and then putting Parcell in for the last 20 minutes to run at the tired defence.

Not necessarily. Kostjasyn is first and foremost a backrower. He can fill in for Granville and Taumalolo and in fact if you looked closely,at one point Granville and Kostjasyn were on the field at the same time. So for example Kosty could do 30 min but 20 of it for Jake and 10 for someone else.

Pretty sure Macca was at lock for a while during games last year... or maybe I was so drunk I was just imagining things.

As our resident alcoholic KFP it was probably the latter Beer

Nah only joking bro. Macca did fill in at lock during the bye period I think.

While we're talking hookers I reckon Hodgson will be the big mover this year. His attacking stats are very impressive (1st I think) & with the Raiders dominating the nrl this year he's going to rip it up.

No I just think kostjasyn is ordinary at best.

Wasn't a fantasy comment because if he played 80 he would be 100% owned in these communities anyway

Agree. One of the Cowboys forum members summed it up best after round 19 last year:

"I want to throw my ipad at the wall when Kosty comes on because I know that I am about to become as frustrated as a diabetic at Willy Wonkas factory.

I like him as a backrow replacement, he toils hard and has never shirked work and always gives 100%.

    But

    He isn't a hookers asshole.

Granville is like having a Ferrari in the garage. When he comes off it's like being given a Toyta Yaris as a relacement while the Ferrari is at the mechanics. Sure the Yaris will get you from A to B well enough but **** me, you look like $hit driving it and you will never pick up any decent chicks either..........."
