Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 7
I may have missed the discussion on it so I thought I would bring it up again. What are people's thoughts on Hymel Hunt if he grabs the starting spot over Auva'a? Is everyone just going to run with Auva'a as an NPR if he isn't named in the hope he cracks the starting side eventually (which IMO he should do).

From all reports Hunt is absolutely rubbish. So I'll keep Auva'a in the side for sure.

There should be enough value between CTR/WFB that you can float Gutherson + Henry/MCC/P. Mata'Utai/C. Scott/J. Littlejohn/J. Hawkins.

I don't trust the job security of any of those names mentioned except Gutherson. Sure some of them might be playing round 1 to cover injuries but once the players they are covering for return they most likely won't get another shot unless another injury occurs.

If he is out round 1 you would think DWZ would play fullback and Blake to come into the side. Then again I heard DWZ is still recovering somewhat from a punctured lung / collapsed lung or something of the sort so he will no doubt be sucking in the big ones.

Aww c'mon, its just a real learning curve and they're taking it one day at a time.

I grabbed DWZ in the UL in the hope Moylan eventually moves to the halves, but apparently a few Panther fans seem to think Will Smith would get the first crack at FB due to coaches preference? I agree with you though DWZ and brining in Blake would be a much better propositionBren wrote:

Hard to say isnt it, you also have TMM pushing for a starting spot in the halves.Welshy wrote:

It is but also likely that both starting havles positions are up for grabs at the foot of the mountains, few losses and can see griffin throwing Moylan and Martin in thereBren wrote:

The Fresh Prince will probably FB in Round 1 if Moylan is unavailable. He hit some really good from at FB the last 2 or 3 rounds of the season and he'd be good to fill in for one game.

my tv broke wrote:theres an article on foxsports site about fensom, it says
Fensom is hoping to return to his 80-minute ways, especially now with the new interchange rules.
He feels the drop from 10 to eight will make the game faster and playing more minutes would help the bigger guys.
“The more athletic players you’ve got out there, the better you’re going to go,” he said.
he doesnt say anything specific about playing 80... he does say he's right for round 1..
I'd be filed with more confidence if it came from Sticky not Fensom unfortunately

It must be a slow news day. My twitter feed is pretty much filled with "Hodgson resigns with Raiders"

@nrlsctalkCB @Tuxy81 @TonyWebeck I'd say it's likely he'll play 80. Worth having in your I reckon with his offloading ability.

He won't be offloading anything if he's suspended

DWZ's the guy marked as the future FB from what I know but he's injured fairly often and Smith's too versatile to be considered for a long-term spot. Although could be a Val Holmes scenario where DWZ's the best they have for the wing and Smith gets his opportunity to make a spot his own, Rugby League's a funny game after all
