am I insane for looking at Jarrod Croker?

292k, so cheaper than even Taylan May or Jaxson Paulo, and looked to be fit and healthy in the first trial. He would only need to average 30-35 to make some decent money (priced at 23).

You think he'll get injured again, or dropped?

    292k wtf?

The bloke has averaged 36, 35, 30.5 from 2018-2020. He obviously didn't have a great year last year in and out of the team, but a goal kicking (presumably over Fog) experienced CTR can't be that bad. Consistent 30s at least is a solid choice for the 17-21. Great catch Beth (unless I'm missing something too). I know there's a few young guns hunting his position, but his experience might just hold his spot.

Watching some YouTube highlights. Cobbo is a big, skilful boy, isn't he? In full games is he everywhere like Trbo/RTS or lazy like Latrell?

FWIW WFB is going to be a embarrassment of riches this year. By Round 3 everyone will be scrambling to get a returning from injury Pap, a goalkicking Latrell and an either discounted or flying Turbo into their squads - as well as the possibility of Hynes and Teddy gunning it and Walsh kicking on.

Just 12 months ago the prevailing wisdom was that Teddy was miles ahead of the 2nd best WFB.

Lot has changed in 12 months. Wonder if the TB nerf or Vlandys rule-changes will shale things up again this year.

Nobody is really catering for escape from in-goal points either. I suspect they'll be too much of a crapshoot to plan your team around, but might cause a few adjustments after a couple of rounds if certain players turn out to be really good at them

Yeah, Teddy scored 6 tries and averaged 66 in three games with Keary last year, before scoring 2 more tries in 20 games over the rest of the season. Definite upside there (albeit with TB downside)

How decisions are made now at The Wests Tigers with the Five Co-Captains concept.

I reckon in-goal will indeed be a total crapshoot. The sort of players you expect to be good at it (Turbo, To'o, Latrell, Ted) play for the teams that are less likely to have kicks in-goal against them because they'll have more territory. Might be someone like Hammer will benefit, but not enough to make a massive difference.

*edit* come to think of it, Cleary will probably start doing three of them per game.

Ponga should have plenty of opportunity in that Knights side mind No

Ha yeah the Knights didn't look that great in the trial. Ponga will be constantly trying to escape from in goal this season Laughing

Probably more like a total irrelevance. According to the stats on foxsports lab there were 52 In-Goal Escapes (IGE) for the whole of last season (including finals matches) with Ted, Latrell, Brimson and Feldt all getting 3 each.
While these will be stats that are used for Supercoach, you have to figure that Fanhubs will be quite similar

I'd noticed. The concern is though, that ever since Wighton was moved to five-eighth his scores have tanked. The "Douehi" effect. I'm not convinced the Douehi or Wighton effect is as serious as some suggest, but has to be taken into consideration. Not a lot around at that price though and could be a better bet for the emergencies than your base price typical bench prop who "might" get better minutes this year.
