NRL COVID testing protocols have been announced. All 20 game day players will be tested 3 hours before kick off

For fantasy this means you want to have as many DPPs as possible, try to keep flexibility in your squad for as long as possible through the weekend to allow adjustments and try to hold off on trades until you need to make them each week.
Players that are likely to go ok when playing off the bench, but are likely to get a call up to start when there are late omissions will be great options, guys like Max King and A Fifita.

Hopefully the NRL has sourced a bunch of faulty RAT's that always produce false negatives.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2022 Part 3 - Max or Josh?
As league registration is due to close today, and league codes will soon be sent, I guess it is getting close to Fantasy Fantasy time
It will probably run the same as last year, but if anyone has any suggestions for improvements please feel free to throw them out there for discussion
If those of you who are intending to play this year could give this post a vote (dealers choice) so I can get an idea of numbers, that would be helpful
Cheers

a frankly shabby attempt to karma farm. if you weren’t providing for free an invaluable public service I’d lean red, but you are excellent and get green. thanks!

Wonder has the NRL considered the pool of free agent covid replacements players that aren't aligned with any club.
You see it in other sports.

These team lists look pretty accurate, if you are looking for a guide for how teams are likely to line up for round 1

au contraire - a brilliant piece of Karma farming.
*makes mental note to get a "thumbs up" gauge of interest for Lord of the Byes later this year, and for Fantasy Draft next year - just a pity my memory is shite

I realize that sounds very dramatic for late scratching's.
But suuuuuuurely in reality clubs will be RAT testing the day before, the morning of etc
While a late withdrawal is shitty for our fantasy teams, it's more shitty for the actual club (and will surely do what they can to reduce the need for late roster changes)
Surely?
Or am I just giving clubs too much credit for being organized?
Okay, maybe the Storm and the Roosters will do it...

Ikin said on a podcast recently that every player and staff have to do a RAT test every day that they enter training facilities. Assume that continues until we follow England and a lot of Euro countries and just do away with isolation.

Without reading it I assume its just the trial teams from this weekend with missing big names inserted into them
Either way, unless you are doing a live draft over the next week or so, there isn't nay need to see predicted teams now when you can just wait a week and a half and see the real things.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2022 Part 3 - Max or Josh?
- DT predicted rd 1 teams:
- BRONCOS
1. Selwyn Cobbo
2. Jordan Pereira
3. Herbie Farnworth
4. Kotoni Staggs
5. Jamayne Isaako
6. Albert Kelly
7. Adam Reynolds
8. Patrick Carrigan
9. Cory Paix
10. Payne Haas
11. Kurt Capewell
12. Jordan Riki
13. Kobe Hetherington
Bench: 14. Jake Turpin, 15. Keenan Palasia, 16. Ryan James, 17. TC Robati/Rhys Kennedy
INJURIES/SUSPENSIONS: Tom Flegler (Suspension, Round 4), Brendan Piakura (Suspension, Round 2), Xavier Willison (Knee, Mid-season), Tesi Niu (Hamstring, Round 3)
NOTES: Flegler will likely slide straight into the starting side on his return from suspension with Ryan James making way.
BULLDOGS
1. Matt Dufty
2. Josh Addo-Carr
3. Aaron Schoupp
4. Brent Naden
5. Corey Allan
6. Matt Burton

Bench: 14. Bailey Biondi-Odo, 15. Ava Seumanufagai, 16. Raymond Faitala-Mariner, 17. Corey Waddelle
INJURIES/SUSPENSIONS: Matt Doorey (Knee, Mid-season)
NOTES: Raymond Faitala-Mariner only began running freely recently. If he is fully fit by round one he is a strong chance to start on an edge with Josh Jackson moving to 13, Luke Thompson to prop and Jack Hetherington to make an impact off the bench.
COWBOYS
1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
2. Kyle Feldt
3. Peta Hiku

13. Jason Taumalolo
Bench: 14. Reuben Cotter, 15. Jamayne Taunoa-Brown, 16. Mitchell Dunn, 17. Tom Gilbert/Ben Condon
NOTES: Jeremiah Nanai is a youngster on the rise and it would not surprise if he partners fellow young gun Heilum Luki in the second row before long. How the Cowboys use Taumalolo is, literally, a million-dollar question. If coach Todd Payten persists with Lolo at prop then Cotter is a strong chance to play lock with Hess on the bench.

INJURIES/SUSPENSIONS: Sam Verrills (Suspension, Round 2)
NOTES: Billy Smith is very highly thought of within the club and while he is more of a centre than a winger he will be putting pressure on phenom Suaalii for a starting job.
