I liked Kobe tonight I think I might start with him for the fact he’s cheap 376k and has the DPP.

    Anyone starting with Pereira?

Pereira very exposed defensively. Gonna be hard to start with any Broncos (other than Haas if you want to lock up gun) with the amount of chop/change there's likely to be. How many trades did I waste shifting Broncos in and out of my team last year? (Can't remember exact answer, but it's "too many")

Agree Walters doesn't cut it. Mam brings XFactor.

I can see another season of the Broncos chopping and changing their hooker, halves partnership and fullback and another bottom 8 finish.

Just watched the Reynolds interview after the game. Made it very clear in his own words he doesn't want either Walters or Gamble as his halves partner. Gunning for Kelly by the sounds of it.

He looks very good. Hard to work out what his role/minutes will be like though, especially when Flegler returns.

The guy only averages 37 at lock in games over 50min. 33 points for all games as a starting lock. Priced at 30 , not that much upside.

Don't know what the upside is there, especially with Flegler coming back in early rounds and the possibility of him getting pushed to bench.

Hey mate just so you lads know I have a feeling Paulo might not stay at left centre, he didn’t look too good to me I thought Lomax gave him a bath tbh Paulo reads were bad and he seems a bit too casual like he’s not interested. He’s getting roasted on Souths social media too. The issue is Mansour shat the bed very bad and I don’t think we can play him round 1 he’s too slow now.

We don’t have many options in the backs as the kids aren’t ready yet but it’s quite clear we have some issues in our backs.

My predicted Souths backline for round 1:

    1. Taaffe
    2. AJ
    3. Campbell
    4. Milne (looked more comfortable than Paulo at centre in second half)
    5. Paulo

Good thing fans don't pick the team. Coaches don't throw out an entire preseason of planning because of 40 minutes in a trial

Just watching the Manly trial, is Harper injured? Does Koula have a chance of starting?

This is the FUN part in pre-season...trying to work out which sub400 w/fb will work out in the early rounds.
    It's a lottery.

Think Harper got a knock in All Stars but is fine for Round 1.

Saw that and it felt a bit weird. Esp as kelly now needs to sit out a week of training. Dont think kelly is the answer but whatever reynolds wants he will get. I think he might have a big say in who plays hooker too tbh

Id say their main concern with Mam is whether he can handle it defensively

Personally i wont be touching any broncos unless its Haas.

Dont think he will start the season but you'd think he is next inline if there is and injury to one of the outside backs or ctrs. This is why i miss the bigger squads. Being able to stash those 220k playing not named to start but a high chance to play if there are any injuries.

I thought Paix was disappointing. There were plenty of opportunities for him to take some runs from dummy half. Haas, Carrington and Kobe were all getting quick play the balls. Either Grant or BSmith would have carved up in that situation.

Arey has been relatively sheltered for most his career in a strong club. If they are slow out of the blocks , he'll soon see what it's like having the blow torch applied to him.

Periera looks great, does the hard yards every week and being outside the best center in the game will give him attacking opportunities.

If you mean Ramsey, he didn't play 80 and scored 35. If he had played 80 in his original position he would have had a 2nd try.

Wait, is Staggs really considered the best centre in the game by anyone? Joey Manu is, surely. Not even sure I’d straight swap him for Lomax.

He is the best attacking center for sure.

Staggs might be the most damaging ball running centre, but he doesnt pass the ball.

Despite his DPP I can not see why you would dump a 2RF who plays 2RF for one who plays centre (unless it was a cash shortage). I have so many centres and Edges.
