    Lolo's upside potential isn't 55, it is in the 60-66 range from both 2019 & 2020. 55 would be a disappointing season.

Uto's max upside, all going to plan is 55.

That is a fair comment Matty. My point was, we just don't know with either really, they are both gambles, I would rather err on the side of which one will likely cost less but still hit keeper status.

I am trying to squeeze both into my team

I’d take 55 avg from Lolo, that would not be disappointing. I’m tempted in the hope it was just the hand injuries. Rather than he’s been worn into the ground and lost his x-factor.

55 would be losing you points as keeper MID.
Haas, Lolo, Harris, iPap, McInnes, Crichton should all be around 60+ filling those slots.
More likely to be a late upgrade if hitting 55 average.

Unless Wilton becomes Talakai of course. Lolo’s price won’t go up fast, so I’m going to watch a couple of weeks. Investing in Cow forwards is scary and I’m going to go one of the 2RFs already.

Lolo may end up in my team if Papy doesn't play the 1st round.

I am aiming for Uto to McInnes and Lolo I am happy to start alongside Haas, If he gets 60+ great, If he gets 55 I am not going to cry, he is still a cut-price keeper saving me a trade, I am not wasting a trade for the sake of an extra 5 points in my mid.

I need a second hooker so do I go TU Clarke and Haas or TD Cheese and Uto / Arrow?

Lolo's a pretty safe bet. *Should* average somewhere between 55-65. But even if he just held his price, you play him until he plays the first bye before upgrading to someone who plays the second like McInnes. Hardly season ending.

If Uto averages over 50 minutes he will probably hit what Cheese will average 55 approx.

I have opted for MID of Uto/Lolo/Haas.

Outside of Randall for hook, you either go light at ctr/FB and go Grant/Cheese perhaps

or a more balanced option of Simpkin (4-6 weeks) or Clark perhaps.

Meaning you start Randall and bench one of cheese/Grant/Smpkin/Clark or what some MAY do is have no Hook cover for week 1 and bench Paix

    I have Randall/Grant/Paix.

Paix is defo a risk come TLT but he is filling a spot for now.

I do love your optimism. Haas is the only one of those I’d 100% lock in for 60+. The rest all could, and a few will, but guessing which is tricky.

Even then you can’t have them all. It’s not like anyone ends up with the optimal 17 at any point in this game. Trading a 55 guy for a 60 guy might not be a priority, or even doable.

    Hi all,
Long time no play. Been reading through the pre-season hype. Haven't heard much about Welch on here - I've had him locked in to my team from the get go.

Welch isn't bad (he offloads a lot so has some points to gain), but I think Uto's a better bet, more attacking upside and more likely to get big minutes

I am currently considering going Lolo over Crichton, allowing me to run a gun hooker in Cook and also slip in Burton at centre. This allows me to swap Tago/Penis at CTR depending on matchups.

    The thought process is this:

Crichton will average 60. For the first 12 rounds he scores 720 points. Bye in the 13th round.
Banking on Lolo scoring 55. For the first 13 rounds he scores 715. Afterwards can upgrade him to a R17 gun. There is also upside for him averaging over 55, he might also sustain scoring at ~50, netting me 650 points over 13 rounds.

There's the added risk of Crichton being a fairly naughty boy, remember him being suspended last year and fucking me up proper. Likely has some nasty carry over points.

TL;DR - Lolo saves you 137k at the start of the season, fairly likely he scores similar to Crichton over the first 13 rounds.

@MTB - says lolo plays R17 instead of R13 on your site (unsure if its the same for all cows players)

PS: Gone off Wilton for the mean time with an estimate return in R6 for Wade. IDK if I can justify bringing in a player I know I'll have to trade out in 5 rounds for ~90k profit. Clifford I'm still considering. Similar vibes to milf last year which was a lot of fun. Have no Knights players too.

    I agree with Bethany.

Welch might average around 50 but is priced at 48. Unless you plan on having him as a keeper, I do not see any $ value, then Matt;s argument of a 50-55 point MID being sub-optimal.

If you can make the gun hooker plan work with Lolo, sounds good, though if you want to free up even more money, Uto is another option.
