My current draft has no hooker cover for Randall as well. Its only covering 1 spot, can deal with it if he gets injured.

If Grant is named at hooker for round 2 I will arrange to get him in.

Why all this Fermour love at the GC? Has there been news that he has secured the edge spot and no Procter on the bench? Have I missed some news?

Absolute beast. Fifita 2.0. Proctor is washed, Fermour has been the better player for a long time now. This year no captaincy for Proctor is probably a decent sign he won't be starting for too long and Fermour started over him in the trial match.

I'm definitely considering the same. I made a bloody great team yesterday (don't ask it's changed too many times since) but no hooker cover. I'll probably chicken out and just get Grant. Are we really expecting Grant to not be named at hooker? I think missing out on him will be like missing out on BS9 last year. Things will just keep going his way is the gut feels.

How would you get him in rd 2 anyway? I mean you'll probably have more mid-rangers/subguns than me that you can turf. I'll likely be closer to guns/cows and can't see myself turfing a gun after one week to get him in. Maybe I'll go try a Cook team. Although there's probably no reason you can't go nude hooker cover and if you need one, just buy whichever cheap one you were thinking of getting appears the best (Starling gets and good role/Clark doesn't stink/Liddle's return date extended etc)

Yeah, flexibility to adjust is a key advantage of not going guns and cows.

The trial to me indicated that Grant is unlikely to be starting hooker round 2. They played Grant very few minutes, more like an afterthought at the end of the game. King starting at lock to me was another indication that he is likely to start there.

The key reason everyone thought Smith needed to play starting lock was a lack of MID depth. With NAS back that isn't as much of an issue.

If they line up Cheese at 9, King at 13, and Wishart plays the Grant role, I would expect that to be the way things remain for round 2. Would need to see Cheese at 13 in round 1 to assume any differently.

Im going to have a bet here
And put my money on a template team like this.

    CWatson
    AFifita,BSmith,MMakatoa
    HYoung,LLeilua
    DCE(c)
    TSexton
    EAitken,SCobbo
    MTaulagi,TSloan,SCrichton

    CRandall, MKing, JNanai, TAmone

    ITago, TWishart, LIlias, TKoula

Sell DCE in 2nd week for CMunster/Burton,  depending on SCrichton and ITago sell for savage or papy.

Mid rangers are usually a no go, but I beg to differ this season.

The competition is only getting better, stats are the commodity these players have to drive their value "in real life".

Even though fantasy is a game for us,
    more and more current players
    grew up playing this also.

Using the fantasy point system(based on stats) as a base of measurement for their form, this is also a base of measurement to vindicate the players value when their agents or themsel es are negotiating contracts, without the luxury of nepotism of course.

Pretty sure thats Steve he's smuggled in there (probably still better than Billy)

On Warnie, what a Warnie way to go!!! Heart attack @ 52 in a villa on Koh Samui, probably punching a dart and sucking down a midori and lemonade.

Not sure how many minutes Watson gets off the bench. Plays a very similar role to Radley, who gets huge minutes.

Who becomes your captain in week 2?

I like a few good mid rangers, but wouldn't structure my team this way.

On current stars Fermor averages about 42 in 77 minutes as an edge.

Priced at a tick over 36, it's not amazing value. He'll probably improve as a player given the edxtra year of experience. Will that be enough to get him the extra fantasy points we want.

It's a bit of a general issue I'm struggling with this year. Lots of guys who I think have 5-8 points of value in them. Not many I'm confident on getting 10+.
Now some of the guys I'm looking at will beat my estimation of them, but hard trying to guess which ones
