Agreed, max 65. Payten also said "JTB will get a nice chunk (of minutes) in the first half and come back on in the second half". I'm thinking at least 45 for him. Lolo 60, Hess 40, McLean 35, Luki 60, Nanai 75, Cotter 50 (I reckon he comes on at 30 minutes and plays out the game with him spelling Robson via the prop rotation), Dunn 25, Gilbert 30 (10 middle, 20 Luki's edge, occasionally Nanai's edge. We're over subscribed 5 minutes. Don't know where the other 15 for Robson comes from.
Is JTB worth a shout then at around 375k?

Anyone gone a bit colder on TLolo with that bench? Or still expecting a return to form in 55/60 mins?

Shady2K wrote:G'day lads, good to be back for the new season

Cleary news throws a bit of a spanner but at least there'll be a mix up in teams

There's a few options that I think pick themselves: Randall, Haas (especially with Cleary now out), Schneider, Ilias, Critta, probably Fifita

Fermor/Nanai/Tuilagi will probably all be popular picks as starting edges at a cheap price point

There's a few players I'm on the fence about that, some popular, some not, but each have some merit:

Grant 697k, Mahoney 780k, Cook 767k: Not comfortable with only running Randall. Not keen on Clark, so need a good hooker. Grant out first week but back R2. Good value, only question is minutes/role? Cook is you get what you get, no real upside, might have more responsibility without Reynolds. Mahoney may score the most, but Eels bench is off-putting with Stone and Arthur on there. Think he needs to play 70-80 every week to be worth it at his price. With his bad shoulders and if Eels are winning comfortably, he may be the first one getting an early shower.
Ryan Papenhuyzen 600k: We all know what he's capable of. The injury cloud really bothers me despite him being named. And Storm don't play early either. Worth the risk? They're playing Tigers first up so they don't exactly NEED him either lol
Andrew Fifita 240k: Former gun at this price AND looked good in trials? Almost too good to be true, but will he be left right out once McInnes is back? McInnes > 13. Finucane > prop, which then pushes BHU or Rudolf to the bench and someone out? Graham also to return as well?
Teig Wilton 484k: Related to above. Priced at 39 and averages 54 in 80min edge games. A 4 forward bench is off putting, and then Graham to return in a month or so too, is he worth the pick up at his price to maybe gain 80k then get punted? Maybe more so for the points, but there's also Fermor/Nanai/Tuilagi as cheaper edge options
Jake Clifford 521k: Huge km, goal kicker, decent running game. Could be a goer? Think he meets the 'no shit players in your squad' factor though
Shaun Johnson 544k: For only 23k more than Clifford... priced at 44. Surely he can get mid 50s? Will he be goal kicking or will that be Walsh when he's back in Round 2? Will he get bulk kicks next to Nikorima?
Toby Sexton 600k: Probably kicks everything next to Brimson, goals, running with Fifita, decent team, can he elevate to gun status? He's very young and not the cheapest though, but do like him as an option
Talatau Amone 350k: Could score a 20 one week and 50 the next. Second fiddle to Hunt for sure and probably a low base, if he was a bit cheaper it'd be a no brainer but his price is a bit awkward

First and foremost these are great questions chad.

Edge cheapie got me all types of fucked up chad.

Titans line up looks like a proctor fifita rotation.

Fermour running 80 aint no cap boys
    Tuilagi starting,
    Nanai starting potential 80??

Instead of a pick 1 situation, is this a potential australian idol moment when all 3 are going to sydney?

rhinoceroo wrote:Idk how people can look at a Cowboys bench with three middles and Cotter, with a lock who plays 60 minutes, and think 80 minutes for Robson

Its not about the bench, it is about the 8 interchanges available to cover their planned interchanges and any unplanned injuries.

You have 8 interchanges for the game, if you use 6 on your MIDs getting them off and back on the field, and have a < 80 min EDG like Luki, who plays Kikau minutes (average of 62 mins, never more than 69), you are using your 7th interchange on them. It leaves you just 1 spare for an unplanned injury.

If you have a < 80 min EDG, you need either an 80 min MID, or an 80 min HOK. Cowboys don't have an 80 min MID, so they need an 80 min HOK.

Rule changes this season also reduce free interchanges significantly, that was being rorted as a loophole last season.

"A free interchange will only be granted in instances of foul play where the offending player is sin binned or sent-off. A free interchange will no longer apply when players are placed on report."

We will see the rise of players like Twal, who can play 80 in the MID at Tigers, if they only want Tuilagi to play < 80, at least at the start of the season, as Simpkin can't play 80 apparently.

At the moment I have replaced Lolo with Arrow. Still doesn't allow me to do much though with the extra cash. I have 266k to spent and already have Schneider... might need to get Russel to accompany Xcoates in the emgs?

Thoughts on Collins Rhino? I think it's likely that we see SST subbing on for JWH. Collins looks primed for a 60 min role, but could just as easily play 50. No Liu has increased Collins stocks

I wouldn't get any Roosters middles because, as the Cow says, Trent Robinson doesn't care about your fantasy team. He'll spell them, rest them, name them and move them, and altogether ruin your weekend.

I've not picked him. Watching him last year was a real joy given that I had him in my team from the moment he came back, so it'll feel weird death riding him in the early rounds.

Cant quite find a situation where robson gets 80 unless they plan to use dunn to spell luki and gilbert spells lolo for a bit.

    JTB - 35
    Robson - 80
    Hess - 45
    Luki - 55
    Nanai - 80
    Lolo - 65

    Cotter - 50
    Mclean - 35
    Dunn - 25
    Gilbert - 10

I think so. I have no definitive evidence, but I feel like he pulls rank here. He wants to run the show, let him run it I say.

Once we're 0-5...maybe it changes haha

Not worried about his minutes, more worried about his form and workload.
