2. Im one of the anti Aubb campaigners but i think even the Aubb owners would say "must own" is extreme

Yes and no. There are always plenty of mid range 2rfs with upside every year, Aubbs is just one of them.

How many of them play in the CTRs though?

I want Aubbs in my team, but I broke the no Halatau rule last year and it cost me. Do I dare to go against the rules again?

It's all timing. If you gotten Halatau at origin time he did well, it's looking like the time for Aubbs is rd1.

Anyone want to wager a guess at what type of job security those potential debutants in the Knights forward pack will have? I was just thinking if one of those Saifiti brothers nabs a starting role at prop it'd be very difficult to ignore them at base price but of course job security would be the main factor in deciding if I want to give up BLaw for any of them.

Did the same, all looked like roses then too, no backup hooker named while Farah at origin and they play Brooks there.

I think I am putting too much though into this, last year I put a lot of time reading forums and articles and went down to 10k. Previous year I did next to none and was 1500....

Backed the wrong players, Nabuli, Lee, Moeroa, Halatau, Johnson (he was hopeless to start but did come good, once everyone jumped on). I think I went for too many guns and lacked depth. Plus with my cows crashing I was playing catch up from the start.

Hence this time I am going low on the gun count, only 4 or so out and out (Surgess, Smith, DCE, Graham), and looking to get as many guys like SST, LAM, Carty, BLAW, CLaw, Aubbs etc into side. Yeah guns are more bankable, but I keep thinking they are already at their ceiling and no where to go, where as the midrangers all have the potential to get another 10 points each. So instead of getting Parker + Pauli Pauli, I get LAM and Carty.

Only worry is if 2 or more of the guys who everyone thinks will increase in points go backwards, then I will struggle to upgrade em later on to the elite guns

Just on this for all in general, midnight Tuesday is the deadline to join the Leagues.  Those who aren't in when I wake up from my beauty sleep on Wednesday may be scratched and replaced as the last thing we want to do is be trying to fill leagues Thursday afternoon instead of looking at our own teams.

Still need all of those to improve though or at least most of them, otherwise you are stuck with mid Rangers...I hope not though because I have a few of them haha
