My guess would be Olive not making the 17 yet. Has potential but still qualifies for the NYC so will probably have to bide his time there while he settles into the club. Having said that he doesn't have too much competition for spots once he settles down up there

With the knights. Brown is reportedly being harsh on non performers from training/trials.
Whether he keeps it up past round 1 is yet to be seen, but most knights fans seem happy he isn't putting up with rubbish.
I think a lot of tigers fans would appreciate the same treatment to our team

rjconner wrote:What are peoples thoughts on Ryan James, it was said he was looking at wanting to play the 80 and had a lot of pressure to step up and take captain. supposedly hes in good shape and wanting to change as a player.
The problem is every year Ryan James looks great in the All-Stars game. He just gives away too many penalties. Regarding him wanting to play 80 minutes, I thought he was transitioning towards the Front Row with Bird, McQueen and Taia all in the 2nd Row for the Titans and likely playing big minutes.

Haha, I said to Bren on Thursday I couldn't find you in the SUG (I didn't have a screenshot of the last 6 places). I didn't think there was any chance in hell you were that far down!
Haha yeah, though there is only up from there tbh..... Some quality names in League 5 as well so no such thing as an easy league here
Here is a couple of popular fantasy 'prop'isition's I will be keeping an eye on...... Sam Tagatese & David Fifita both around 200k
The sharks are low on props again and sam had a blockbusting pre season with some very strong runs. Also was being used to run holes and Malony/Townsend were putting him away a few times so reckon he will nab a few tries this year.
As long as he remains hungry and doesn't fade in and out this season, he may be in for a big year.
Fifita should get more minutes as well, and looks a bit more trimmed down than before. Runs harder/more direct than Andrew and should be useful if he gets the minutes and has a big motor.
Won't start with either but worth keeping an eye on
(Might want to mute the sound) but from the manly trial..
Scores the first try and makes a massive break on the second.
Did that consistently in both trials so hopefully he can push on with his form...

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 8
Apparently Knight could be in the 17 as his contract expires this year & a few top clubs are after him. So he may make the top 17 not related to performance but due to player retention.
The possible 130k's I'm looking at are Bhana, Knight, V. Leuluai & Aloiai. The Titan Davis will only be short term so he's probably not viable once MacDonald is back after a few games out with injury. Not sure about Olive. You'd say Davis is probably ahead of him.

Gallen plays 'Prop' a bit as it is, the number on his back doesn't really mean alot..
There are a lot of 2nd rowers in the sharks, but yeah it's hard to work out minutes.. Prior/JSL/Bukuya too
Lewis will play less minutes as well
Will be interesting to see how Flanno plays them all, and probably wont know until round 2 (as first game is hot North QLD)

So i've been roped into a fishing trip to a place called Skyringville in Bundaberg from Thursday morning to Sunday night. I've never been to Bundy before, so does anyone familiar with the area know what the chances are of me having internet coverage lol? Might just have to set my team and hope for the best

By the looks of it, it's going to be another mad scramble to re adjust teams between TLT and kickoff.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 8
That leaked Newcastle team list is worrying to me because you just know there's going to be at least one dud there. I've floated Bhana in and out of my team before deciding Josh Aloiai and Vincent Leuluai are more likely to make Round 1 team but he's an interesting prospect.
If Brown rates him highly enough I could see him coming onto the field around the 30 minute mark to relive Randall and actually playing out the rest of the game at Lock when Randall comes back on sort of like McCollough/Nikorima or Peats/De Gois. Either that or he'll play 30 minutes max and be a dud. Honestly though with the Saifiti's and Bhana I'm considering dumping Ben Henry. There's no way he gets the minutes at the Warriors with the back-row they've got but if he does succeed I'll be the only fool without him. If he is a dud though and I don't have him then I'll be cheering.

You'll be right. Data at Skyringville might be a bit iffy unless you're on Telstra, but it's 10min to town and 3g/4g/LTE network coverage.
We've had internet in Bundy for a while

Haha thanks Soylent. I'm with Vodafone who are shocking and seem to drop out before any other provider, but work gives me a Telstra USB modem so that should be cool.
Have you done much fishing around Skyringville?

Went once years ago with a mate who had a key to the Fairymead Sugar property - it's a bit harder to get to otherwise (got to come in by boat) so it's not somewhere a lot of people go

Im staying of Bhana for now due to the fact he is set to spend 15-20min at hooker. Looking at the other reserves and reduced interchange i think that might be all he plays for now

Randell as second hooker allows me to upgrade a rookie half to JRey. I wonder if I'm setting myself up for another Scott Moore-ing

he played big minutes twice last year, scored 40 in 75 minutes and 34 in 69 minutes. Neither score boosted by tries (although he did kick 1 goal in his score of 40)
In general his average when playing over 40 minutes was 35.
He is priced at 30, and I guess you are looking at scores of around 40 if can play around 60 minutes a game.

The bloke can play anywhere so can see him ending up as the bench utility eventually. Anyone know what the go is with Levi, or maybe that team leak was just not very accurate.
