Assuming Cody Walker is AReynolds haves partner, do you have any ideas of how walker's kicking game is, will he steal any kick metres?manlybeaver wrote:

I've actually been hearing the Keary is out of favour at the club now even with Madge, so we could be seeing Walker sooner rather then later

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 8
Fair call and yeah, he is 2 or 3 out from getting a start in the backrow I guess. I think he is ahead of the Llama but behind Lovett/Edwards. Edwards and Halatau injury records suggest he may get a run. Just loving the DPP and potential but probably thinking with my heart not my head. Point taken and will reconsider.Krump wrote:I know you rate him but where do you see him in the pecking order realistically?SI wrote:

I've heard that too. And also note that Keary is suspended for round 1 so will definitely see walker in round 1 at least.jstands wrote:I've actually been hearing the Keary is out of favour at the club now even with Madge, so we could be seeing Walker sooner rather then later

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 8
I think a few are and I am at this stage. BUT, I have 2 established halves and hookers starting, whereas a lot of teams don't. To me, if you take the risk on one of the rookies starting in your 17 you just have to hope you pick the right one. But those running with a combination of rookies at hooker/half/WFB are taking a MASSIVE risk.Vestid wrote:Am I crazy starting Feeney? Helps me strengthen my 2RF.
In other words, if Feeney is your only rookie starting in your 17 then it's not that bad a risk and you are probably taking less risk than a lot of others.

Don't reconsider based on me mate. With us having so many cheapies I'm still trying to rank them myself and having a shit time of it too.SI wrote:

Sounds like we're thinking similar things. I've got two established hookers and halves, so Feeney is the only rookie in my team at the moment.

I don't see much risk in it. If he bombs rd1 between your other rookies and dpp's you'll find someone decent to put into your 17 for rd2, maybe he doesn't make much cash but everyone will have him anyway.Vestid wrote:

I've got 6 players in my playing 17 under 300k atm. This includes A Taylor, Hastings (not concerned), and one of Feeney/Eden/Mitchell to round out my WFB compliment dependent on TLT and maybe opposition.

That's exactly the same as mine if I don't count Slater at 295k.Andy V wrote:

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 8
Risk v reward. Personally I would be happy to start with 2 rookies, but 2 at the most. That is me as a conservative player. I have 1 rookie in my 17 at the moment which is Feeney. I do have Hastings as 3rd half but yeah, not concerned with him at this stage. This means I don't have the stacked forwards that I have seen in a lot of teams.Andy V wrote:SI wrote:

As always I have gone for a rounded team; as always I will probably not finish in the Top 1000!

Latrell Mitchell will be in my team regardless of team lists.
I may have Chee Kam in for DPP purposes, but not too sure.
That's all I'm really considering at the moment.
