It applies to all forms of investing (even fantasy NRL). The smartest and richest investors find investments that have many areas of improvement and potential. They buy during or after a decline. Buy problems and sell solutions.
For me, I see the negatives of days gone by as potential positives in days to come. Most people in this world view current and past negatives as future negatives. Fear and human emotion controls this theory. It is human nature.
These theories I subscribe to in my working and personal life, I also apply to this game. I see Hodgson missing 55 tackles last year as a great opportunity, the same as I see Ryan James awful penalty/error count last season as a great opportunity.
This is just a small example. There is much money to be made in this game, as there is in everyday life.
