Have never done the streak, but sure would be memorable for once.

Missed the first game, how did Fifita look?

Didn't end up getting him, but more mins than Talakai and Hunt is encouraging for those who jumped on.

He's been in a decent paddock, not unlike myself over the last few weeks. More measured seems to be the general consensus on here, I have him in NPR's but hardly noticed him to be honest. Which I guess is actually more measured.

It was a topic of conversation during the pre-season - however - I am quite sure that Ilias is in my team because I was not on top of my capacity to group think. I think it is telling the MattNZ jumped off him and wisely so. The evidence was there all along, it was just accepted wisdom that he would score well

Just say Walters was the 6 next week could be a pick up?

What did Kevvie say in the presser?

I’ll trust Bronco diehards on this one like MTB and B/L etc....

I bought coach this year it’s telling me Walters will be around 277k.

    I wouldn't call paying $631k for CWalker's 24 points instead of 300k for Ilias' 20 wise.

Thanks though MTB, for reminding us that at one point, Braith did indeed.. wear a Tigers jersey whilst taking the field.

Ilias was a bad call and it was taboo to question it. I may still keep him to see what happens but it is the lowlight of my week so far. CWalker has potential and is not really relevant to my point about groupthink here. If I stuck to my own judgements about who I should have in my team - Ilias would not have been there

Wilton is good for now, but scored a 14 point try tonight and is a short term option. I hope for those that picked him that he makes his 150k but I do not see him be a season keeper, not retaining his value.

Plenty of players have looked shite after 3 or 4 games and bounced back to make money and even be playable. At least more faith can be put in a half than a winger or centre.

I dunno about the groupthink, you make your own choices. CWalker was relevant to calling Matt wise because that's who he became bullish on when declaring Ilias won't do shit.

It wasn't taboo! I was lukewarm on Ilias as a player and stashed him in NPRs but 300k for a half with job security in a top team is a no-brainer of a call. The error there might be that it could turn out Souths aren't a top team, but they'll be different with Latrell and when Murray is at match fitness.

He still should still make money, albeit slower than hoped. One of my misfiring cows will have to go next week to pick up on Tago's price rises and if nobody else sucks it'll have to be him, but it wouldn't be a disaster for him to stick around.

Managed to fly over for it.  As horrible a result as it was, I don't get to many games being in Perth so was good to say I was at the longest game ever played.

We got lucky against Canberra the next week.  Croker missed that gimme with a minute to go to even up.  I had to be content listening to that on the radio on the drive in to see my GF of the time.  She had an accident and had a Cervical fusion.  I remember wheeling her down to the local Ice Cream joint near the Hospital.  When I checked the full time score I yelled out and scared the shit out of her and She twinged her neck!  I felt fucking horrible for weeks!!!

Groupthink by definition is making personal decisions on the basis of trying to fit a team narrative. I can't say how others played their hand but I for one reached a conclusion that he had value based on the cajoling of the group, rather than whether I saw it personally! I don't think Ilias is the only player that fits this bill but he is a good example in my situation.

I think if most of us are honest, there would be at least one or two cases of this in all our teams. I could not see him averaging enough to make money and I still don't. I suppose I did not want to miss out.

Damn, no wonder you remember it better than me. I was thinking maybe 2009 and was sure we got eliminated by Braith's arsey sideline FG, but nah you're right. Beat Canberra the following week and Dragons put us out in the semi. I actually hate Braith a little less now, thanks man Laughing

Got the sense from kevvie presser comments that it was Walters who makes way. He refered to walters stepping in for reynolds or something like that.

But i dont know for sure. I think Kelly gets the gig.

Looks like Finchy was right about Ilias bloke is a walking missed tackle
But when you get a chance to pay 300k for the half back from a bottom 4 team you have to take it
He goes to position 20 for me now and hope he jags some attacking stats in a more free flowing game
