What actually happened to Billy Smith? Is he a possibility to be playing this week?

EDIT: Had a look... Head Knock, should be right to go!

Only real trade outs are Ilias and Brandon Smith.
Will see what I can do throughout the week.

Bunker doctor said her was a grade 1 HIA - which means can't return. My understanding of this is he showed concussion signs at contact (e.g. KO'd, unable to brace for impact, staggering etc.) so it then doesn't matter about the initial cognitive tests - you're off.

I would assume if he wasn't actually concussed - as Robbo has indicated - he can sail thru protocols and play this weekend. If he's not dropped first.

They said Radley was grade 1 HIA, yet went on for another 10 minutes making tackles, etc. and then was pulled off. Surely the that has to be done sooner.

Wow, trading out Ilias already. I really dont think its such an urgent trade out. He only ran the ball once/twice? And they made a point that he will be running the ball much more as the year goes on...

Kind of tempting to keep pouncing on these money makers while they are there, although Welch to haas is a no brainer for me.

I'll probably do Fermor to Tago & leave it at that. I had high hopes for Fermor but he's my only real option to afford Tago.

I wouldn't get too concerned about missing him, I missed Max King affraid and Tago. Basketball

Yeah as Tuilagi owner wouldn't be in rush to get him if didn't own

My thinking on no Haas was that he was slightly overpriced based on his 2021 stats. A bit underpriced based on 2020 stats, Figured he was more likely to replicate 2021 than 2020 so gave him a miss thinking he was unlikely to jump out of price range.

Went Fifita figuring that even if he didn't replicate the 17 tries, he wouldn't be playing off the bench and that might make up for it. Know he has some low scores in him, and away against Parra was one of the likely low scores. If I had Mahoney I probably would have captained him ahead of Fifita this week. And pre game if you'd offered me 51 I would have accepted it, only becomes disappointing when you know the Titans scored 28 points, and he just bludged out near the wing (and when you know what Haas scored as well)
I'm with you Milchcow RE not picking up Haas.
I just thought the nerf would slow him down - went with I.Pap instead (which I'm not overly concerned about and won't trade) and D.Fifita.
Watching the Titans game just gave me the  :poop: Fifita, when interested, is such a damaging runner, I just don't get why he's not used more often.
    Options:
    1. Holbrook is an idiot and doesn't know how to come up with a game plan to maximise his $1M man.
    2. Sexton & W.Smith are useless halves who can't execute Holbrook's game plan to get Fifita early ball.
    3. Fifita is in the coach's plan, Sexton and co. are trying to get him more involved and the big cat hides out in the backline being lazy, avoiding the hard stuff.
I'm going with Option 3 as the most likely.

Yeah well kind of want to give Uto another chance against a team that isn't the Storm, plus the injury to Simpkin possibly stuffed the interchanges up. Fermor is another on the chopping block, and I could shove iPap, Nanai, Katoa there for now. Everyone else holds their spot, unless dropped.

Can go Ilias and Brandon + 49K = 967K (taking into account price changes)
              Brandon and Fermor + 49K = 1120K (as above)

Just depends how much cash I need. Tago is a definite in, which means Fermor goes and Ilias stays 1 more week.

With the game in the balance he was not given the ball once. Had 1 run out of dummy half but don't think a Titans player passed it to him in the last 20 minutes. Mostly he was standing out near the wing. Not sure if that was a deliberate plan to have him running at opposition wingers that they never executed, or if he was just hiding out there because he is soft.

There were a couple times I saw him hailing for the ball out wide on a 5th tackle play (4th) and then it would either get shifted to the left or Campbell would just run around like a headless chook. To be honest, that is terrible on the Titans behalf, Blake who isn't the greatest defender was shoved out on the wing, Brown was a make shift centre and Jakob Arthur is a young kid finding his straps and doesn't mind a missed tackle... Fifita should've had a field day out there.

The main thing with Ilias is that if you didn't have him, and wanted half cover (and were playing Schneider already), the only other option was Billy Walters, who most people assume will get dropped this week.

So it was either run short in the halves (maybe have someone like Mann,Burton,Hynes available via DPP shuffling), pick a guy with poor job security, or find money elsewhere to upgrade him.

Noone was expecting 50s from Ilias first up, but he was just the safest looking option at his position and price range.

789 teddy captain. Terrible first round. Last year i was top 600 first round and fell off a cliff. Hoping for a reversal. No trades this week, everyone gets a second chance. Had Grant stashed away and hoping the team can score more than 2 tries total. Those trading out Mahoney after he played 80 minutes in a game where there was 50 points scored in one half are crazy. Not many good options at hooker and he is one of them

I think it was a premeditated plan for him to move one out and try to get one on one with Blake. He definitely wasn't hiding out, I saw him with his hand in the air frustratingly crying for the ball a couple of times. Why the ball never got there seems to be the halves fault.

Did anyone else go for both B.Smith's only for them to combine for 7 points?

Also chose to put the C on Mahoney over Haas..... Great week 1 start.

Looking at Cheese to Tago and L.Thompson to Walters if he gets the starting gig, thoughts?
