Melbourne Storm’s Tyran Wishart has been ruled out of Saturday night’s Multicultural Round match with Parramatta at AAMI Park.

The rookie utility player has been deemed a household contact of Harry Grant who yesterday tested positive to COVID-19. Wishart has not tested positive to COVID.

Like Grant, Wishart will have to isolate for seven days and is expected to be available for round four.

The replacements for the two absentees in the squad of 24 to face the Eels will be named later in the week.
What's the chances Cheese suits up carrying a broken hand?
He'll be needled so much he won't feel a thing until hours after the game's done.

JNik can easily slot in. Meaney could come onto the bench to spend some time there. KBrom has played 9 for NZ. Plenty of options if Smith ain't right to go Smile

I think it's much more likely they play Jayden Nikorima at 9, with Kenny Bromwich filling in there if needed

I'm just wondering why Bellyache doesn't get on with naming either of these options straight away then?
Smells suspiciously like they're giving Cheese as much time as possible to be right.
If he still can't pass the ball well, or his tackling is suspect, then yeah, JNik will likely get the nod.
I'd assume Kenny B will stay at Edge, Bellyache won't want to disrupt the Storm structure more than is absolutely necessary.

Why panicking? Why do you need Cleary? Has he scored a ton yet? He could average 60 for 3 games and lose 100k. Most sensible people aren't going to buy until at least 1 game played. It's not like he will be out of reach if scores 100 even

It's that tight time frame between trades opening up and lockout. It gets rabs worked up every time.

As much as I want to do some wild trades, the Bully+Tui > Starling+Thompson trade seems to make too much sense this week Sad

It's a long season mate. Cleary is an absolute guaranteed keeper, halves are thriving this season.

DFifi so far looks under-cooked fitness wise and is not getting involved through tactics etc. If he guns it up we can bring him back in later.

Just gonna throw some thoughts out there regarding captaincy options not named Haas, feel free to chime in.

Fifita- Looks unfit and came off early. Saw the coach mention that he has struggled playing in the heat. Both games have been afternoon games so far and this week is their first night game. Probably due for a boom game soon.

IPap- Chugging along nicely without being amazing. 7 missed tackles on the weekend, the most he had last year in a faster paced game was 6. Not sure what the go is there. Still a solid option.

Sexy- Averaging 53 with very minimal attacking stats. Feels like a big game is coming soon if he can jag a try or some more assists.

Hynes- Probably similar to Sexton with that high base, but seems more likely to get those attacking stats.

Fifi and Papa haven't been that inspiring, half tempted to give the arm band to one of the halves but I'll probably cat it Laughing

Another left field pick for me would be one of the Storm spine. With no Grant and likely no Cheese, they will have to carry a bigger load. If Jnik gets the nod, assuming he won't want to fuck anything up, should just be delivering the ball to Hughes or Munny. Just feel like one of our spine are due for a huge game! Just not sure which one.

Also, whilst it only became official recently, it was known Tuilagi was going to Manly for ages, and he made the round 1 and 2 teams with this knowledge.

Next years edges will be iPapali'i and allegedly one of Nikora/Nanai and its not like we can start gibing them the game time now, so may as well play the best we have.

Ipap has been pretty vocal about wanting to play in the middle, will he really be going to the tigers to play on the edge.
