Love seeing Slater select CS9 and JT to his Maroons coaching staff, almost like having them back playing together again.

E: Walters Tuilagi Thompson Ilias
Could do Walters>Starling as a real bourgeoise trade, but I wouldn't know who to take out of the 17. King, Ming, Nanai, even Tago- all about as likely as each other to provide me a stinky score. I am a little worried about my cashflow though, Ilias is a lame duck and I suspect Walters has peaked unless he starts soon, Tuilagi an unknown quantity- Thompson may be my only thriving cow. In that respect, I have also mulled over an Ilias/Walters>May.
I really like Rhino's Rule(TM), and since I have tried out all these combinations at least three or four times and reversed it, I think it tells me that I shouldn't be making any at all.
We have pretty much the same team
Yours - Fifita + Crichton + Gilbert + Ilias
Mine - Arrow + Tedesco + Femor + Vailea
I'm looking at moving Walters, Tuilagi or Vailea. Traded Ilias + Bullemor to LeoThompson + Tago last week.
The other thing to think about is you don't have any cover for hooker or fullback, like me. If I had cash I would go Walters to Starling in a heartbeat. Hooker coverage and carry on that cash making.

I refuse to believe that Kevvie knows what his team will be any more than 5 minutes before team list have to be submitted
Also it's written on the back of a keno ticket "how do you spell Robati Alfie?'

Those are very similar teams!
I think Tuilagi gets another chance assuming he starts, as good a chance to make cash as anyone. Vailea might have to go but there isn't enough value in him and you don't want to be trading up at a time when you are trying to save cash- I think you pray that he either becomes a red dot for useful looping, scores a try to get some price rises, or a promising 220k cashie comes along for the straight trade. It has to be Walters for my mind- he has peaked if he keeps getting 25-30 off the bench and the trade locks in his 100k price rises, which isn't awful. Sure he might become the starting half at some point, but after winning their first two games they probably get a reprieve from major changes for a while, and he may well be a handy cashout later in the season if he does eventually get the role (but until then he is dead weight on the bench).
I don't mind Walters>Jones for you, but that could definitely wait a week for surveillance. Assuming you started with Walters, then moving to Jones (or Starling in my case) and eventually a timely upgrading to a falling gun like McInnes means you have straight traded a base priced player to a premium in just 2 trades, which is pretty good. Are you also mulling over the Walters>May straight trade for price rises and (eventual) WFB cover? I was leaning that direction but I have cold feet now. Still think making no trades is a really underrated move- feels so boring but its an unparalleled power move on the rest of the competition.

I'm thinking this year is alot different to other where cash generation is extremely hard there for don't see teams having fully gun 17 squads after origin. I'd be pissing off Walters and illias for the likes of may and Jones. If you can do starling and may even better

Below is the player with the highest average from each team that has played all three games:
Broncos - Haas (69)
Bulldogs - Max King (46.7)
Cowboys - Tom Gilbert (49.3)
Dragons - Ben Hunt (60)
Eels - Papali'i (64)
Knights - Frizell (63.3)
Panthers - Yeo (62.3)
Rabbitohs - Murray (70.3)
Raiders - Wighton (48.7)
Roosters - Nat Butcher (50.3)
Sea Eagles - Cherry-Evans (63)
Sharks - Hynes (75.3)
Storm - Hughes (53.3)
Tigers - Ofa (45.7)
Titans - Fermor (55)
Warriors - Curran (59.7)
Things that stood out.
Dominant kicking halves like Hynes, Cherry-Evans and Hunt will continue to score well.
Tigers and Bulldogs are poor performing fantasy teams.
Raiders, Cowboys and Roosters don't fair much better. Forwards share the loads and no dominant half.
Although Schneider going great but has only played 2 games.

That is a solid cash generating team. No need to change much yet. Jump on Cleary after his significant price drop

Curious on how people's trades have been this year so far.
Rnd 2
Valaei and russel to tago and Gilbert
Rnd 3
Bully and angus to starling and fermor.
So far I'm pretty happy cut my rnd 1 rank from 30k to 15k
Rnd 4
Tpj and tolo to cleary and may by the looks of it so far

Can you do Walters to Starling in one trade? I would definitely do that. Since I can't get Starling I'm inclined to hold trades. But be nice to lock away Walters cash he has made so far by upgrading to someone on the up.
I'm not really sure on May as a trade in. I'm not sure on Tuilagi from here with Titans, Sharks, Eels, Rabbitohs in the next month.

You left a lot of cash off the table to do those round 2 trades.

I do every year honestly. I use my whole cap then when there's around 2 to 3 games left in rnd 1 I do a quick downgrade after I figure out how much cash I'll need to fix my initial problems.

Yeah I can make the Walters>Starling in one trade. Leaves me with a ham sandwich ITB but actually solves my cashies problem well also. I keep trying to not let Cleary's return get in my head, but its (Nathan) clearly not working because I have cold feet on a perfectly sensible trade like Walters>Staling due to worries about the "Cleary Fund." I would love to see him return from the bench so I could be confident I don't need to think about him for a couple of weeks. Walters>Staling does look pretty enticing after ballsing it up last round.
