Yeah he could be under 700k in 2 weeks.

He scoring 40s doing nothing in games. Eventually he’ll do something and get 60s/70s. Sometime he’ll do something a couple of times in the same match and go bigger. I’d gamble on the variance swinging that way a few times in 2022.

Think I'd rather see it first. Cleary probably more urgent anyway.

    I captained cheese round 1
    Fifita last 3 weeks.

Can anyone beat that as shittest captain selector on the forum?

surprisingly accurate depiction of how the site was built, though.. should i be worried ?

The sad thing about Butters is that there are few people as passionate about fantasy football- he’s constantly making group spaces and apps, and trying to raise money for charity- all good things! But just like in life, sometimes a good product is let down by terrible marketing and Butters himself happens to be an obnoxious wet blanket. Always gives matter-of-fact advice from a high horse (probably now made worse by the fact that he posts under “Rugby League Fantasy Pro” these days) and wants everyone to drink some coolaid on him being a Fantasy Guru despite ranking poorly every year. Mostly though, the Fantasy Gods just seem to hate the guy. He didn’t have to make a special post to show off his team and defend Sexton as his captain this week, but he did and so he will (undeservedly? Im really not sure) cop it for that move all year now, when before that game I had actually considered it myself and it wasn’t such a far out there play.

    Tl;dr-
Butters: a tragic protagonist undeserving of both your admiration and scorn.

    I appreciate the background.

Lol that's Butter's site who insisted Cleary BE was 67

The strangest thing is he says Cleary would have a round 1 BE of 67 but then raise to 75 long term. Wish he would publish the formula he uses so we could see how he comes to those conclusions.

My formula (same one Mtb uses) is readily available, and easy to tweak based on varying magic numbers as the season progresses.

With your formula to get Butters result you need a predicted MN over 15k. Can’t see it.

I’ll back you, last season once the MN settled down it was always within 0-1 or the actual BE

Didn't get to watch the games last night.

Cleary still look the goods or what lads? 6 Missed tackles probs won't happen every week and seems like he missed a few conversions.

Would Fifita and Sexton to Cleary and a cheapie still be the ideal trade? My team is going shit to start this season ffs hahaha might not even make the top 8 in my league which hurts

I remember you having a ding dong battle with him a few years ago on an FB page with you defending Fanatics.

I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt up till then for one simple reason-I finally had 100% evidence that he talks out his arse. How did I find said evidence? He said something to the effect of:

“The Fanatics site is just as bad as Renegades, they only publish the basic statistics and there is a small group of them that hold their advanced statistics all to themselves so they can do better in the game”

Really? Milchy displayed everything he had for years, including Ressies and 21’s stats etc in the public domain. Then so did MTB. Absolutely nothing was held back.

Oh, and the other thing that tipped the scales-the bloke is a Teacher, yet constantly uses ‘to’ and ‘too’ incorrectly. That shit is just not on!

Thing with butters is if you disagree or look as a threat to him and his god status you will be quickly banned haha
That and if he makes a call on a player, he goes all in and dies on that hill rather than cop it on the chin and move on.

I think it was Crichton years back got benched to start the year
He talked him up massively all preseason that when it came to selecting the initial team he started with him anyway to prove some point to the few worshippers.
He bled a heap of cash and finally traded him out only to bring back in the following week when he was starting again meanwhile justifying and explaining it was part of some master plan haha
I think he got dropped again or something else happened, but it was a complete shitshow and made funny reading

I was also in his group along with all the other facebook groups and he made a list of underpriced players and I suggested someone worth looking at.
Well the player went on a points run then others kept suggesting them too, he wouldn't add them on principle at that stage, got pissed hearing about them and kicked a bunch including me haha
I think thats why he has annoyed so many over the years or you still hear about him ,most have had dealings with him at some point and it was never great

It sucked a little as they had a mentorship thing where you helped someone new with their team or strategy, simple things like trades or byes etc. Was even a league too where both your scores got added together, so that was fun and seeing them and their team develop
Think he won his work $$ comp twice too so Beau from north queensland if you are reading, hope you are well

Anyways I have no issue paying to starlight charity and still do to this day so it wasn't all bad

Honestly, a month ago he was describing your site a an old used car and his as a Bugatti Veyron.
I would have thought he should at least Google what CSS is before making that statement

Also, regret logging out after the first game, the last 10 pages were hilarious. Although I feel there were some very hurtful things said towards me in regards my IT abilities and Fantasy prowess from people I actually consider friends. Words can be weapons peeps, words can be weapons.

    Very Happy
