Agree Josh King is probably near his peak and E Katoa has got to go.

I don't really hold anyone with a higher price that I want to let go of.. probably Sexton would be the leading candidate but that seems premature.

Well the Katoa to Koula is easy.
The JKing to Cleary could be done next week for cheaper.
But if this is really about the Cleary, I get it.

Yeah for sure - its not really about price, more about the points gain from (C)leary, no doubt in my mind he will still be the highest scoring player in the game, every week you don't own him is a risk he goes big.

Whereas look at the Penrith run the next month. I have a feeling May keeps his spot when To’o is back  and May plays round 13. His price could go up to 550k maybe even a bit more.

    Thoughts? @rhinoceroo etc...
Just confirming that you think May will keep To'o out of the team?

I think May is still a buy, but at his current price you probably need to decide if he is for a quick cash injection or a R13 player with coverage because he will likely peak in price too early for the latter.
Tago is trickier now that he is priced at 40, you would have to be buying him as a keeper centre. If you already have coverage here, I would probably leave him and just have my heart break with every Panthers game he scores a try in.
Yeah I think I have to let Tago go and set my sights a bit lower on Koula. Gives me this team which still feels under strength but I’m working on it.

    Randall
    Mann, Ming, Leo
    Wilton, Fermor
    Cleary, Sexton
    Burton, May
    Papy, Hynes, Critter

    Starling, Nanai, Clark, Schneider
    Ilias, Leniu, Koula, Smith

MIDs really need sorting next week

I think I started a little to poddy. Have Hudson, JBD and AFB, Wilton plus Sexton where all were and still are very debatable picks. Might be the week I have to correct one of them, AFB or JDB sticking out. Maybe JBD.

On the whole Taylan May discussion,

1 - If he loses his spot when To'o comes back, that will happen around when he peaks, which means it will keep his price high, and he will get back for round 13 when To'o goes to Origin. Then sell him.

2 - If he keeps his spot, you have a long term option with DPP(TBC) for $400k.

Sure your PODs could all miraculously perform at the same time in one week and you make up some rankings, but then what happens the next when they fail again? Yep, you slide right back to where you were.

I'm all for having one or two well reasoned PODs along with a majority high owned team, that's a solid strategy, but not picking 15 guys under 10% ownership along with 2 high owned ones.
No one has that many PODs. You are just being silly now. I'm looking for a team that can perform well each week, not just in a single week. If all players in my team are scoring consistently well, I will be making up ground every week in a way that you cant do with having the same players as everyone else.

If I could choose the 17 players who will average the highest across the season, why do I care if many other teams have the same players?

Just realised it's Burton vs Cleary this weekend on the same side of the field. Interesting, they should know each others' game. Doubt Penrith will get fooled by Burton's left foot step.

I have to move Fifita and Ponga on as they will lose so much cash.

Thinking I grab Haas and Koula and that leaves me $488k in the bank for Cleary, and depending on his score this week it means a potential straight swap next week for Erin Clark

I remember a young Penrith winger making his debut. Scored a bunch of tries in first first 2 weeks. Smashed a 50+ average over his first couple of games. Lets all trade him in some people said

Then, when he cemented a spot in the team, he averaged 23 over the course of the season.

These days people think he'll lose his spot to Taylan May

That's why I don't own Taylan May, even though it has hurt me short term. I think there is every chance he is already priced at his long term average
