Round 13 is very slim pickings for players I don't currently own.
Cotter
Taumololo
TPJ
Curran - possibly origin?
Stephen Crichton
Reece Walsh
Starling
Nat Butcher
Would you pick up Starling or Cotter?

Not FOMO as most don't have him. More like expecting big points so will use it as an opportunity to get a head start.Loomer wrote:Is some people's insistence in getting Cleary in this week FOMO of big points?

I think I’d rather just take Koulas scores for almost 200k less. JS is sketchy but hey that’s the game we play
Yeah thinking the same, I don't think May is a bad option this week but probably will just go with Koula and add May to the list of players I missed the boat on (along with Tago & JKing)

Pre tlt trades currently looking like Fifi to Haas and either Amone to Koula or Coates to May. Not sure on the last one yet. Can afford to go Amone to May sadly. Amone is going to bleed cash so he needs to go but at the same time May is going to bleed cash in the other direction and Coates can't be trusted to keep scoring 30's or 40's

TPJ for extra bye-round points at similar scoring

My team is genuinely stuffed. Starting with Crichton and Fifita over Haas and Papali has killed me.
Gilbert and Bird is 40k short of Cleary. I guess Gilbert and BillySmithy for Cotter and Koula might be the smartest play, but I might just bitch it and grab Haas or Papali... Rough year already.

If it was R1 most people would've started with Cleary at 1.05m. He had a really high BE and likely would've lost cash.
At R5, Cleary is now priced at 1.026m. He had a really high BE and likely will lose cash.
So I don't see how anything has changed. If he was a good buy then, he's a good buy now.
I wouldn't tear up my team but if there's a relatively easy way of jumping to him, seems like a no brainer.
If the MN stays where it currently is, I think he might even priced around his long-term average.

Haven't you heard? Haas is going to be suspended for life, and probably sent to the gulags.

Went for a Twitter stroll and saw Mat Croker out for a while with a broken jaw. PYTM must be on overtime with all these injuries

With an MN of 14,000 Cleary is priced at 73.
Last year he averaged 82 (with current scoring)
I doubt he is going to have a turbo like drop in scoring, so assuming you want him, there are 2 options
a. Try and maximise value and get him at his minimum price, whatever that ends up being (whatever price he is on just before his first century, at a guess)\
b. Get him in now to maximise points from him, even if it means paying slightly more cash.
Koula makes an appetizing cashout to enable Cleary. And if you think he will average more than 70 for the season, then you may as well grab him now.
Given the current rule interpretations, I wouldn't be surprised if he averages in the 60s, so not necessarily an urgent buy. But if the guy you are trading out for him will also lose cash why no tpull the pin.

I would laugh.
I would tell Matt well done he got the outcome right and I was wrong and I would laugh.
Still don't see how anything comes from this if Al Kelly doesn't want to co-operate.
Suspension possibly but unlikely. Police action extremely unlikely.

I don't think you can play Fantays long term without expecting all your bye round players to get injured or suspended as soon as they are locked into your bye round team.
