Worth trading King to someone like Jones?  Or just keep Jing one more week and hope for less plod?

    Cheese is tempting too.

I think hold. No obvious trades and he’s probably going to hit 30s and not bleed cash.

Fun fact about Harry Rushton...the Raiders flew his parents over from the UK to present him with his debut jersey.

That should guarantee a 3 minute cameo.

I really want to get him. Will be that or no trades this week. Have feeling he's going to hold his spot

Yeah, probably. Could play Leo over him, or take Nanai's score but surely he can get 30 fucking points this week.

with the bench of CNK, Rushton, Elliott & Horsburgh you'd think Rushton should get 20-30 mins.

Everyone seems to focus on the first try where harper was caught infield. The other 4 tries he tried tackling low as he should have and Talakai busted out of the tackle, as he has done something like 35 other times in the last 4 games. DCE was no more successful at tackling him, nor Gagai, or anyone else he has been running over every week.

If you’re getting hooked at half time, and your team subsequently does not concede more points down that side. There is a fair chance you’re a large part of the problem

Turbo was so good last year, he was a million dollar player that carried a $2 backline to the top 4. Okay Garrick is pretty solid and Brad Parker has improved a lot over the years but Harper and Saab were carried big time.

I’ve done the sums. Trades this week were:

    OUT: Wilton (55) + Burton (30), plus would’ve captained Haas (64)

    Versus

IN: Cleary (c) + Roberts, uhhh, guess I’m playing Coates then

Need 150 from Captain Chin plus Coates to win the week. Longer term perhaps a bit dicier, have sacrificed a bit of depth

Yeah, 300 would be a wonderful captain score.

At this stage of the season I don't like to trade in a guy that will score 40 that isn't sub $300k. I want to be getting guys as cheap as possible for a 50+ average (like Hastings) or be < $270k cash cow certainties, then 40s are just fine as they will make a lot of money (potentially guys like Kiraz, Mam, Tass).

Anyone in between is tying up cash for a score that you don't really want in your 17.

I find it is a pretty good rule for keeping guys like Taaffe out of my team.

Yeah, neither are good defensively. It was definitely planned to exploit that edge

Your maths is wrong. You're double counting Haas points. Assume Cleary matches Haas score of 64 you need Coates to score 21 to equal Wilton+Burton 85

    Say Cleary scores 80

    Before: Wilton + Burton + Haas C = 213pts
    After: Cleary C 160 + Haas 64 = 224 plus whatever Coates scores

EDIT: I just realised you meant Cleary doubled + Coates so nevermind

Fair call Matt, thanks.  Interesting feedback.  I guess he only makes 90K in 3 rounds time if he does score 40's.  120K if he scores 45's though.  Seems a big ask, second rower scores this year are too inconsistent.

Saying all that, I have plenty of 500K-600K players scoring 30's so I'm obviously doing something a bit wrong. Laughing

And yes, Taafe was almost in. Dodged a massive bullet there.

120k now is 60k per trade. That's not optimal

75 is my pass mark for Cleary this week too.

Tuilagi being out has meant teams have been really stretched for depth this week, often ending up with a sub 20 score in their 17.

If clearly scores under 85 I’ll be pumped. Got the vibes Penrith going to pound raiders into the earth.

Raiders are susceptible to a good back line movement. Penrith are killing it in that field. Cleary, tago, May, chrichton will combine for 250 +
