Was all over him preseason so don't see any reason not to grab him next week after a hit out

Ideally be a straight swap for Jones as he loses his spot

Feels a little like Turbo where he historically scores well above price but scares everyone off with injury history. Obviously doesn't have the ceiling but could make a bit of cash leading into the byes

He's not half bad honestly, priced in the low 30s and historically averages low 40s on the edge, so there is definitely money there.

    Don’t rate him

Surely he would be better than 31 avg or am I clutching at straws here.

I have to sell Walters so instead of TMM I am looking at Cody.

Looking at the first bye. Who are the must haves?

    Thinking of Mann/Randall to TPJ/Tevaga.

Probably both cop a suspension in round 12 haha

Lolo and Curran (if he's back in time) are the main ones, then there's borderline guys like TPJ, Burton, Cotter, Tohu (depends how his return goes and when he gets back), Aitken, Angus (if he doesn't get picked for Origin).

I don't mind those buys, but I think it might be better to just single trade Mann to Jazz and hold the other one, I'm not convinced TPJ is worth it. Jazz is at least cheap enough that he'll make money between now and the bye if Tohu's back in R12

BUT Randall to Talakai is another option. I keep telling myself the Talakai ship has sailed but Sharks have such a good draw coming up and the ctr dual is hard to ignore.
I know people refused to jump on Turbo last year and it really hurt them. Is not jumping on Talakai gonna be the same thing?

Your final point there is echo'ing with me.. especially as a non-turbo owner last year

Following the earlier “Barrett asked my permission to pick Flanno”, im not sure I understand the coaching structure at Bulldogs at all. Seems untenable.

Agreed. Picking a Tiger who will score well when the team scores well just feels like going for a dance with the devil, and Randall has only had 1 poor score.

Same here, I'm just going Nanai to Hastings and banking my 2nd trade. I would love to bank a few more between now and Origin, but even if I don't, I will still have more trades left than at that point last year.

Going into round 13 last year, I had 15 trades left, whereas even if I max trade from next week on, I will have 16 left, and ideally I would bank 3-4 more trades between now and then, and enter the Origin period with ~20 trades, meaning I use 4 trades between next week and R13. Those 4 trades would likely be used to sell Randall, Jones, Tuilagi and Penisini, though the latter two could be held longer if they keep scoring well

So what has changed with Nofo ? on a lucky streak or Hastings presence has something to do with it.

I think Hastings is worth it, he only needs to average 45 to make 100k in 3 weeks, so even if he doesn't keep getting 55s every week, he'll make enough money to be a 3 week money maker and then sell before the bye to Lolo

Its funny how that works with some halves where the team goes well so do their points
Thats the thing with backs sometimes, a few injuries elsewhere and the team suffers along with their scores
Sometimes you just got to ride it out and hope for the troops to arrive or the form to come back

I instantly recognised the top one as Clifford Very Happy Glad I sold him to Cook before round 5

Bottom one is Sexton, that 8 is a dead giveaway

I'm thinking Grant and just leaving Jaz for now.

Suggest not trading Wilton, based on the interview with Fitz, he all but said he is holding his spot as left EDG (reading between the lines).

Anyone who has met me at the meet ups knows I am not chasing glory, just to have fun and perhaps get better and share in the experience
There is a lot to learn in real life from this pretend game we have invested part of our lives in
Perhaps that is why some things are said to help others, bounce ideas while others are lost in written context

But people change, look at the flavour of the week Jackson Hastings

One of the things I've grown to really enjoy about Fantasy is the community of players and all the different perspectives they have that you can learn and grow from - particularly in terms of tactics - the diversity of strategies/styles I find really intriguing.

One consistent thing I've always seen with great players is their ability to lead the game, rather than be dictated to by the game (i.e. anticipating good trades rather than following/reacting to what happened last week and what might be this weeks must-have shiny toy).
Some years it doesn't pan out, you can have a run of poor luck in fantasy, but eventually class wins out and those players will be in the mix most years.

Anyway, in this regard you've always been one of those posters that when they talk, you take the time to listen, and you notice when they are gone (you most of last year, Verbal this year for example)
So for what it's worth, post more.
