One last thing I haven't mentioned. There is also a shortage WFB's at present. Turbo is out for the season. We don't know when Pappy will be back. Teddy going well but likely to miss a couple/few games coming up. Walsh has a clear run for the next six weeks.

I am absolutely not saying he is a must have. He isn't. But he's a decent punt for sure.

Fair to say everyone now knows my opinion. I've Loomer-ed up the thread regarding Walsh properly. I'll try to move on and maybe take another look at these rd17 guys.

Can't have them all. I picked up Robson & Elliott last week. This week Sexton & Kiraz.
Have enough cash itb to do SCrichton to Tohu next week... that should be it.

Fair call - I may do Critta to Tohu also if he gets picked in Origin. Though Penisini or Ilias can also be traded out

If those 3 questionable guys play in 13 I’ll have 12 guys playing Round 13. I can then trade all 12 of them and have 19 (Lee and Thompson in EMG) in Round 17.

So really I should get rid of Lee and Thompson for 2 more Round 13 players and hold. Theoretically Kiraz works this weeks and a base pricer next week.

Gives me 14 for 13 and 17 for 17. All theory of course

I think the smart play for me is Turbo to Burton, sort of thought I'd never, but here we are

Look, it happens every year, WFB drops in price due to some lean games before regressing to the mean. It's why most good fantasy players don't stack their initial teams with three gun WFB's. Because you know at least one of them will be cheaper at some point. Possibly all of them.

Yup, that's the thing that's swaying me, this year you could have got Ted at 614k before peaking at his current price. Last year you could have got Latrell at 549k before he peaked at 701k or Teddy at 577k before peaking at 834k. Happens a few times every year, no reason Walsh couldn't do a similar thing.

If you bring in Walsh, he probably sticks around to the end and you punt on his average being good enough from here on out. If you don't think it will be, you're using two trades (a waste imo) on him.

Kiraz almost certainly being 2 trades, smash and grab.

    Leaning Walsh at this point.

Just a disclaimer on my Bye round team.
I'm sitting outside the 10k, I expect to get just inside the 5k with a full rd13 team, still far from the top.

    This pretty much.

I hadn't really considered Walsh tbh. Admittedly I haven't thought much about wfb's. At this stage I do not have Papy and Teddy and they would appear to be priorities for the run home. Maybe Turbo too? It seems unlikely I'd be able to get all three anyway.

Warriors look to have a pretty tough run, but they have NZ home games again soon, maybe there is an up tick in the teams performances for a while and Walsh comes good on the back of that? Maybe it lasts two games and his scoring fades hard again.

Anyone taken a look at Jayden Campbell? He’s had a big two last weeks plays round 13 can he keep scoring well with 30’s and 40’s inbetween the 50’s scores?
