Littlejohn for his upside and potential price rises or Matai as a locked in cheapie in case Henry and Green are dropped within 2 weeks. Also have Aubbo in 2rf so that gives a little more security. Would push Carter or Taylor into my 17 if I had to move Aubbo down but most are running with a similar reserve.

    Any advice?

Wait, so your 4 CTR's are Green, Benry, Gutherson and either Littlejohn/Matai MS?

Super risky bro... If Green isn't the coaches pet that everyone is talking up then that could spell trouble, especially with there still being a few Manly players to return. Same can be said of Benry. So that leaves you with Guther if they both go down (worst case scenario).

Matai is shite and cheap for a reason and Littlejohn isn't guaranteed anything either as of yet.

If it were mine I'd feel a hell of a lot more comfortable moving Aubbs back there and then chosing a different second rower. The upside with the second row is that you have 6 slots so lots more room for cover if and when required.

    Who knows.

It might not even happen in the first place. But with Brooks back next week I can't see them shafting Brooks or Moses to accommodate Claw in the halves.

Yeah they are my 4 centres.
IF both Green and Benry get dropped I'll move Aubbo back and pick up a second rower and run Aubbo with Gutho or JLJ/Matai depending on which I end up with. Matai is terrible and I don't think he makes much cash if any but does leave a guaranteed starter so I'm not juggling base price centres just to get one on the field. Don't feel comfortable with either in that slot but happy with the rest of my team and have to make sacrifices somewhere

YEah, was trying to find the boundaries.  So at one end I could have another gun and have just over 200k but that felt wrong.  The other end was I could downgrade Ted to a Gordon or Bobblehead and have 600k in the bank, that felt wrong as well.  I am actually half comfrotable with this current squad on potential with the half a million nest egg tucked away.  Trades are not the issue, we pretty much all burn 6 in the first 3 weeks.

That's way too much on the pine SI. If you deadset want to try it out, create a second team and run them in tandem for a proper assessment at seasons end. It doesn't matter how many under-valued players you have, $500k in the bank is lost points. At least get one more super gun in (who may also be under-valued) and leave $200k in the bank if you want to live on the edge. You don't earn interest on it!

Agree with this. Would atleast upgrade someone like Grant or Taia to Parker/Fifita tier, if not both. 200k is still plenty to keep you covered but Parker and Fifita are going to put 30 points on those guys every week

    SI.

Think of it this way. Starting with $500k in the bank is like saying you will have Surgess in your team as an NPR for the first couple of weeks.

    Moeroa.

Watmough could return as soon as next week. If Watmough was there this week we wouldn't even be talking about Moeroa.

But he's playing tonight *sniff* That's the one I'm thinking of for Sue

I don't buy the Watmough return. I feel like he's a spent force

Also there was talk about Edwards taking the spot off Sue when back. Don't know what to make of it all

    Not Parker.

Game Theory for the win. When Parker has a quiet one most of the comp will drop out of contention and I will come in and Bradbury you all.

I don't see it like that because I can only play 17 players and the bloke who plays instead of Surgess may only score 10 or 15 points less than him.  I then half a mill to upgrade to gun halves (as an example) once we realise which of those halves that EVERYONE is running with fails, and also gives time to see which halves will improve (potentially JReyn and Sezer).

The way I'm looking at it is I may get a bit behind in the first week or 2, but I get a look at what Coaches and teams are doing and have the money to adapt, which is something that we are all basing around speculation.  Pretty much no-one else will have the cash to adapt once we've had a look.

I understand the risk, and I haven't decided yet by the way.  I don't see how it is like leaving Surgess in your NPR's, though willing for you to elaborate.  Have had some great feedback both positive and negative and this is a MASSIVE decision 4 hours out  Shocked

If everyone does this then no one is better off. You need the herd to do it.
