    trading out ben hunt, penisini, stephen crichton

    trading in angus, manu and RFM

    pretty happy with that -

    wont mention how few trades i have remaining!

    13 players in rd 13 playing

    unless ricky wants to promote harry rushton last minute for me

    also done my weekly review in team tracker if anyone wants a read whilst they mull over their trades

    Please Ricky allow Starling enough minutes to make a dent in his BE , I beg of you.

    Why would he be straight out next week? Seems he has now shifted to his usual starting role on his return from injury. Can only see his minutes increasing from here.

    was worried about TPJ coming back in, yeah not pushing him out but just pushing him to low minutes and low scores.

    But im really warming to bringing him in. Means i wont have the cash to go Starling to Grant.

    But I could also use 2 trades to go Tass Hastings to Grant 220k if need be.

    really need some playing 18-21 guys so fingers crossed RFM isnt another wasted pickup dropping 25 or less points a week.

    Ok 3 trades planned at this stage. Schneider out makes 4 tempting, but I'll leave him to next week still I think.

    Jing -> Harris
    Ilias -> Manu
    Critta -> RFM

    Cash to make 3 more trades (3 mids to 2 gun + 1 cow) next week, which I think gives me a decent 16 + Koula/Kiraz.

    No idea where the decent 17, or 18/19 player squad is coming from. Future Rob's problem

    Grant could drop in price in coming weeks. He already has a bit of a niggle with his hammy, so Bellamy may look to use BSmith a bit more? Even if he scores a few 40-50 he will drop which will be handy post-origin.

    Manu isn't a bad pick up. Do you envision to keep him post-origin? If yes then go for it. But if no, then maybe look to someone like Campbell who may earn some money for you in this period. In saying that, if Manu hits a big score this weekend then he makes cash too.

    Ilias to RFM an easy one.

    Might just stop there, gives me 12 playing and 15 trades left (+4). Wouldn't mind moving TPJ out but there isn't anyone worthwhile this week.

    Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:It’s quite a fine line choosing who I want this week. If I grab Tohu and Angus and they continue to average 55+ it will be hard to trade them to round 17 players when the time comes. Whereas getting someone that averages 45+ you’d be happy for their points and then be happy to move them on in 17.

    Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:Like instead of Tohu/Angus do you go with a JFH/Vaughan for instance and hope for a month of 45+ scores and then be happy to move them to Round 17 keepers?

    Don't over think it. Trade in the keepers and use your spare trades to get rid of the mid range options already in your team

    Thinking the exact same thing, albeit with 14 trades post.

    RFM starting edge a clear upgrade on Ilias. Seems like a no brainer, but fantasy rarely is.

    Yeah mate. Aitken the only semi appealing option but doesn't seem worth it. Can look ahead to rd17 guns next week

    Yeah don't get Aitken, better to wait a week and get Lomax or Graham if you need a centre, otherwise get another R17 gun

    Bethany_B wrote:TU: Hold Peoples and hope he gets back in for round 14 and 17, then trade later
    TD: Trade him to RFM, potentially clearing a dead spot but also risking RFM becoming the new Peoples

    Bethany_B wrote:Despite the TU/TD, I think I'm going to do the Peoples to RFM trade for the following reasons:

    * RFM's stats starting on the edge are genuine keeper level, and that was before TOs or 4 point offloads.

    * Peoples is a dead cheapie, and even if he plays round 14 and 17 (best case), he won't make much money

    * I only have 8 players this week, and going early on RFM means a 9th one.

    There is risk involved, and he could get benched for TPJ, but with the few trades I have left, I think this is a huge opportunity to get rid of a dead cheapie spot and have someone who could very easily be a keeper in your final 17.

    Feel free to roast me as to why I shouldn't do it.

    This was a wild rollercoaster ride for posts 10 minutes apart.

    Why would you get a pure CTR when you could get an EDG for 60k more

    Not to mention with a few injuries, Freddy might play an actual CTR and Graham/Lomax could be in frame for Origin and miss R17

    Well yeah I agree, but if you did need a centre, those two are the best for R17

    I actually like it. Peoples might get a gig next week and R17, 18 but he wont play enough to make serious cash. RFM has too much pedigree to not make that spot his own, foot injury pending. Im turning Schneider to RFM this week.

    Planning to use this round for some cash gen and come out of the blocks firing in R14 with some big upgrades.

    Critter>Savage
    Schneider>RFM
    Leaves 636k ITB for next round

    Gives me 16 players for the round. Could also trade Nanai for a full team but it would have to be a HLF and there arn’t any that wouldnt just seem like a quick grab at extra bye round points. Sexton is actually tempting, though hes burnt me this season already. Nanai’s recent form and low BE also make him a tempting hold.

    Other players of interest:
    Taumalolo
    Garrick

    15 for this round, missing out on Vailea's score of 12.

    Had Rnd 13 in mind so much that I literally have 2 players so far for Rnd 17 (iPap and Hastings, plus maybe Hynes and Peoples). Will try to flip over another 6 or 7, but given I want at least a few of Papy, Ted, Cook, Haas to bring in before season end, as well as Mahoney I'll be looking at subguns like Lucy or JDB and subsubguns like Stefano and Cheese. Will Kennedy will be hugely popular, going down to near base price and someone who actually plays (as a hopefully non-negative AE).

      Current date/time is Sun Nov 24, 2024 10:34 pm
