When I was reading the last 5 pages there were some pretty funny comments all round. As in, I laughed out loud. A lot of posters on here are witty with a nice touch of being kooky, poetic, musical, etc...

Anyway that one cost be hundreds of points, thousands in cash, and a few trades. Cool cool cool

Maybe Origin? That was my misguided reasoning.

Obviously no details to this, but does explain him not playing the last few weeks but also not being injured

That and he was one of the standout hookers last year and you potentially get to play him for 16 straight games.

I got Mahoney for something (fantasy/ Survivor/ something) in 2020 just as they started playing him for 50 minutes. It left me distrusting of Mahoney . That and I'd spent all my cap and Mahoney would have tipped me over from memory. Is why I got Cook.

I started the year with Cook because I thought he'd up his output in Reynolds absence.

It's the one good decision I made at the start of the season alongside about 10 bad ones.

If I had all of the trades left and could afford a flyer on a player that maybe only plays 1 game, I'd pick Falls. Panthers system seems to let anyone slot in seamlessly. Guns it in reserves. Will probably kick goals.

Said before he got 40mins last game for 24pts to avoid him. Just don't see any upside or point at 284k. Need him to score try next game to have any hope of cash generation and just a dud in EMG for however long

One of my fond memories is from three years ago.
We travelled to Rarotonga for a weeklong mid-year break.

As it turned out I had booked it for the first bye-week.
I'm usually a fairly bye-focused player and normally cut my rank significantly in the two bye-rounds.

I was ranked 996th heading into it with good bank and 4 big trades planned (but didn't want to trade too early in case of late outs).

Anyway, arrive in Rarotonga and discover that despite being Vodafone with roaming data in like 150+ countries, the Cook Islands was not one such place.
We were staying in an AirBnb type house, and basically the setup is a Router, you purchase a Wifi code from the local Supermarket and that's how you get internet access.

So rush out on the Friday evening, drive 1/4 of the way round the island, spend like $50 for 500MB, get home and discover the router is on the Fritz and find out that BlueSky? (the local ISP) will come fix it on Monday, pretty much everything but the market shut over the weekend.

Still, tropical island, what are you going to do... drink lots of cocktails on the beach is what

Thanks for sharing one of your fond memories

I started with Cook mainly with the thinking he could do a bit more with Reynolds gone and I should know but there was thinking Bennet was the one who changed Cook's game not run run as much so thought with JD at the helm he may unleash a bit more this year.
