I think this could go down as one of the greatest love ballads ever. The lyrics and melody are truly art.

Ed Sheeran. Greatest song writer of this generation, imo.

    Perfect
    Ed Sheeran
I found a love for me
    Darling just dive right in
    And follow my lead
Well I found a girl beautiful and sweet
I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
    Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes you're holding mine
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight
Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love
    Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
    Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyes
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
    And she looks perfect
    I don't deserve this
    You look perfect tonight

Used to love Tumbleweed in my teens, about 25 yrs ago...

Totally separate from that.... is it odd for a 40yo to absolutely love Post Malone's - Better now ? For parity, my all time never sick of go to music is Nirvana.

    Typhoon - Dreams of Cannibalism.

If you like your alterna-pop with truly emotive lyrics and superb imagery, give Typhoon a listen.

Their album "White Lightning" was great.
Their newer album from earlier this year is almost as good but super depressing and I definitely do not recommend listening to it when you've just split up with the love of your life! Embarassed Laughing

    Jebediah-Of Someday Shambles Very Happy

This came out pretty much 12 months after all their quirky singles from Slightly Odway were starting to get played everywhere.  I remember hearing the World debut of the first single "Animal" (I think it was JJJ) driving down the Mitchell Freeway to my Uni rotation at Royal Perth Hospital and thinking there must be another band called Jebediah!

Of all the bands I've seen live I've never actually managed to see them here in Perth Embarassed But as is the trend I'm hoping they do a 20 year anniversary release full album tour Very Happy

The tour that supported that album opened at the Metro Sydney. The gig opened with the bagpipes and Animal and it just built and built it was fucking insane. They did 2 encores, the house lights came on and I think I counted 3 people leave. Nobody moved everyone just kept chanting "Jebs", "Jebs", "Jebs". You could feel the tension building, shit was going to go south, there was going to be a riot. It was past curfew, Kevin comes out pleads with the crowd, I remember him saying "we have nothing left to play" we'll play 1 more song then please leave. With the house lights on they played "It's raining men" which they had been rehearsing for JJJ Like a Version. Thanked the crowd and then everyone left absolutely buzzing. One of my favourite gig stories.

For those into their prog rock/djent metal, this is the first track from the new album from a band called VOLA. One of my favourite 'lesser known' bands is Monuments, and I got into VOLA after they were announced as Monuments support for the next few months.

Humour me and give it one full listen  Very Happy  Awesome sound and one of the best film clips I have honestly ever seen.  If you get into the sound then google the lyrics and you'll appreciate them even more.  Whilst it's a little difficult to find their previous album and EP's, I have ordered all of them from Europe over the last couple of weeks.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJSt7ISU1-w

They have been described as a cross between one of my favourite bands in Opeth, and one of those few bands I can't get into (ironically) in Meshuggah, if that helps.
