Walsh to Papenhuyzen next week or maybe even Savage to Pap if prices move enough as I'm holding a bit of bank.

Lane is very intriguing to me, could be a huge POD the way he's going. The fact that he's had that left edge spot all year even with Ipap, Matto and Niukore playing musical chairs is a good sign.

    664k, 1.4% owned and a 5 game average of 54.2 is appealing

Also I did some maths and it seems like my best bet is to actually sell Munster or Cotter to get Lane (or Hughes/Barnett but Lane is the best of the guys in that price range I think)

Lane will play up to 10 games (rounds 16-25), Munster and Cotter will play at most 8 games (missing 16 and 17), but more likely only 6 or 7 (missing 16-18 and maybe 25).

Given that, if Lane averages 50, then Munster (or Cotter) needs to average 71 in 7 games, or 83 in 6 games just to match the total points of Lane.

I only have 6+4 trades before using any this week, so I probably can't get away with selling both Cotter and Munster, but I think I can sell one of them.

Flirting with a ludicrous play by bringing in Junior Pauga for his red dot and bank roll. Ive spent two weeks debating whether Kennedy would be more worthwhile, but aside from the single score in R17 (which could be in the negatives anyway Razz ), he would be my third choice backup WFB after Ramsey and Koula and unlikely to do anything but clog up position 21 until the end of the season. With Pauga, I can loop Ramsey into the WFB for Paps/Garrick or May/Koula at centre, or even RFM from 18th man. My thoughts are that I will make up more points with the red dot flexibility for the rest of the season than a Kennedy one off score.

If only looping guaranteed the best score and never backfired

Wouldn't sell either even with decent amount of trades left. You're low on trades no?

Yes I'm low on trades, but my reasoning is this.

Cotter (who seems like the better sell) will play at most 7 games from now on (misses 16-18, plays 19-25)

Lane will play at most 10 games (16-25).

Given that, if Lane averages 50 (about his historical average on the edge, and less than his current 5 game average), then Cotter has to average 71 in 7 games to break even with him, or 83 in 6 games if he gets rested in round 25 or isn't back in round 19 as expected.

Also, going Cotter to Lane means I don't have to trade both Koula and Tago to get Papy in, I can just trade one of them.

Seemed pretty close to me - about the same averages, due back the same round (Munster a chance of playing 18 but I don't think he will) and pretty close in price.

Few bits from DT late mail:

No changes expected at Manly, with Daly Cherry-Evans and Jake Trbojevic to back up from Origin.

Grant Anderson remains in the team and is believed to have won the starting wing role over Dean Ieremia on merit for the time being.

While named at centre, Euan Aitken will start in the back-row for the Warriors on their return home to New Zealand. This will likely see Adam Pompey earn a reprieve as he returns at centre.

Isaiah Tass is expected to come into the side, likely starting at centre. It’s believed Taane Milne will drop out to accommodate the move. Cam Murray passed his HIA test during Origin and is expected to face the Eels, but must pass relevant protocols to receive final clearance.

Payne Haas is pushing to play despite suffering a low-grade high ankle sprain. He remains in major doubt and would be replaced in the starting side by Thomas Flegler if unavailable.
