Yeah man, Taranaki are a good side and Auckland really are in trouble this year.
Hope you got on - I had Taranaki in several multis.
Did you get on Northland? $2.4 a steel in the end. They won by 30 points
With those two doing good and the Storm this evening I have a couple multis that are getting close. Couple more big hurdles to come before I get too excited though!
But so far this weekend I am 7 from 7.

Re: The Betting Thread
So overall this weekend I went 9 from 11.
If Cronulla had won I would have won $2,600 via a couple multis.
If Manly wins I take home a further $12,600.
Instead I get a big fat zero.
Should have stuck with what I know and just done a rugby multi.
Picked NH $2.05, Canterbury $1.87, Taranaki $1.87, BOP $2.7, Northland $2.4, Tasman $1.92, Otago 1.45. Multi that at 129:1 and I would have been happy.
Instead, a fucken rubbish weekend

Cleaned up this weekend just gone. Just paid off my holidays at the end of this year from the winnings. Cha-ching.

Instead of bragging about winnings post bets why not post them up so others can choose to invest in them beforehand? That way we're all happy with some winnings.

I agree with this!
But in all fairness I didn't post my $5 bet on Richmond where I cleaned up!!

I bet heavily on the horses last Saturday and I got cleaned up. And I so need a holiday.

Yeah man, fully agree. That's the whole point of this thread I would have thought. The odd story is great, but at the end of the day this thread is for posting winners and helping others to make money.
The irony for me though is I think I posted 4/4 winners this weekend. One at $2.4, another at $2.7 and a couple even money bets yet I still pocket a big fat zero Gutted.
Made ten times worse by the debacles going on in the refereeing that contributed to the only two losses I had all weekend.
Lesson learnt for me - bet what you know....ONLY!

Re: The Betting Thread
Thats all well and good but there are many times like the games over the weekend where I have made several bets just before the game starts and the last thing on my mind is "shit I better update the lads on Fantasy Fanatics and post up the bets I just placed". Like the times where I might be out and about or at the local or even a mates place watching a game where Ill place a few bets after some pre game discussion.Honeysett wrote:Instead of bragging about winnings post bets why not post them up so others can choose to invest in them beforehand? I see your point though and will endeavor to post in here pre game with my bets however I can't guarantee that will always be the case. I'm sure you can understand that.

I know you may be taking the piss a little bit but I never understood the reason behind posting a receipt of anything whether that be a bet slip, a sizzler receipt or whatever just to show someone online. Care to explain? Is it because of jealousy, envy, resentment or similar? (I find it very peculiar is all). A great example I can recall is of the 2014 Grand Final where Sportsbet had a Megabet of $4 or something for Greg Inglis to score a try and do the goanna which I placed a few hundred on. Upon winning said bet I posted in the Fantasy thread at the time about the win and the exact same comment occurred.

Nah mate it's a massive piss take. I can't explain the whole receipt thing I don't understand it either. I do though find it hard to believe someone claimed you ate Lean Cuisine for dinner because you posted a betting slip, that's just stupid.

Re: The Betting Thread
Probably because a lot of people post bets up for all to see, sometimes losing chunks of cash, then some rock up, with no prior doings claiming to have won big, I guess that is pretty annoying
No one has to post evidence it's their prerogative but I wouldn't be surprised to see some argue a fake call
I just won $3 on draft kings off a $2 entry. Fuck yes

Re: The Betting Thread
I am not claiming I win every bet I place, far from it. If I did post all my bets in this thread as some suggest then that would be clear as day. I had a good win and like most people when they do so they have a good brag (for want of a better word) to let others know about it. Thats all this is. I have seen others do so without a request for a bet slip or image post hence why I felt like and questioned whether it was personal dig at myself. If it is then just say it straight up, I'm old enough and ugly enough to cop it.
