Kent was certainly living up to his name last night, particularly with Brandy. The series was live with under 5 minutes to go and Kent is carrying on about how NSW got it horribly wrong at coaching and selection level. Granted, Wighton probably should have been there but to call it a wholesale failure is a bit of OTT carry on.

I’ve never been an Elias fan but he handled himself with lots more grace than Kent last night.

All these pundits are just hindsight merchants, decide a narrative based on a final scoreline rather than what actually happened.

Cleary's chip goes half a metre over Hunt's head and then NSW have out-QLDed QLD by playing an entire half off their own line under fatigue while individual brilliance from Cleary decides it. Freddie is amazing for course correcting after the 1st game and sticking true to the guys who won game 2.

    Instead it's all wrong.

Answer is of course somewhere in between. I think Wighton should've played, with Crichton 18th man, and Talakai wasn't ready with a specialist forward a better 4th bench option.

Not a fan of the one two punch unless you can squeeze more out of one of those hookers in another position

I was perusing my team looking for ways to get DCE in.

I can go Edrick to 220k, May to DCE. Worth it?

Leaves me with 1 trade, 15k and only Koula to cover both WFB and CTR. On the other hand it gets me DCE.

Its the type of punt I'd do, at this point of the season. For the same reasons as u have stated. 2 and 4 remaining though, precious.

If it's a Rev type of punt then I think I'm sold cheer

With 6+4 I think it's time to have a crack on something like this

    Thoughts on these trades?

Mam/Penisini > Curran/Doueihi. Gets me hopefully two DPP 50+ scorers for the run home. 4+4 trades remaining

Mam/Penisini/Lee > DCE/Doueihi/Matamua. Gets me a big gun in DCE, Doueihi as my 50+ punt at a good price, Matamua as a cash out that hopefully is a warm body in EMG

    Cheers lads

    Curran scoring at edge isn't good enough 51 51(try) 49 all 80mins

Doueihi can wait a week so we see how this Brooks AD Hastings experiment goes

I don't have much of a choice but to sell Mam and/or Ming but in your case would hold off on Doueihi in and play Mam against Titans

Alright I’ve been back and forth all week from 2 trades to 4 to 2 again but with king, Penisini, mam, lee and savage as likely trade outs with good BEs (Penisini required for centre position) and likely ins teddy, doeuhi, Fifita, grant having high BEs then there’s not much harm in waiting a week

Here is my squad. Agree on sitting on my hands despite 6+ 4 trades left? Probably burn all 6 the next 2 rounds before H2H finals.

We still have 4 trades a week next week yeah?

If you do captain Hynes, put the VC on someone else in the first game, just so you don't lock players out unnecessarily.

I think holding is a good idea.

I would maybe go Crichton + Penisini to Aitken + Gagai / Tass, which is a clear 10 point upgrade to me and actually nets you some cash.

If you're happy to run with Crichton and save trades, could even just downgrade Penisini to Gagai to bank some cash ~100k, more cover and avoid Penis leaking any more.
